Analyst Jeff Pu also revealed that the iPhone 17 Pro Max will have a smaller Dynamic Island design. Apple is expected to apply new technology to the Face ID facial recognition system, called metalens.

Metalens technology allows Apple to reduce the size of the Face ID system without reducing usability, while expanding the display space on the screen.
