The latest leaks suggest that the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max could be the first iPhones in history to support 8K ultra-high resolution video recording, a significant step forward in Apple's mobile filmmaking capabilities.

Apple will be making a major upgrade to video recording capabilities on the iPhone 17 Pro series.

According to Fixed Focus Digital , Apple is reportedly planning to equip the Pro versions of the iPhone 17 with 8K video recording capabilities. This rumor is based on previous reports suggesting that all three rear cameras on the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max will be upgraded to 48MP sensors.

With the requirement for a minimum 33MP image sensor to produce 8K images, equipping all three cameras with a 48MP sensor will fully meet this condition. This is a significant upgrade over the current iPhone 16 Pro, which is limited to 4K video recording due to its 12MP telephoto camera.
