JYP resigns

Singer and music producer Park Jin Young will resign as internal director at JYP Entertainment.

According to Star News , on March 10th, JYP Entertainment announced that Park Jin Young (stage name JYP or JY Park) would resign as internal director of JYP Entertainment.

"Mr. Park Jin Young will not be undergoing the reappointment process for the position of internal director at the shareholders' meeting on March 26," the entertainment group stated.

The agency revealed that Park Jin Young plans to focus on creative activities as an artist, training the next generation of artists, and taking on new external relations roles to contribute to the K-pop industry.

Park Jin Young was born in 1971 and debuted in the music industry in 1994. He works as a songwriter and producer, contributing significantly to the development of the K-pop industry. Additionally, he founded JYP Entertainment and has trained many artists who have achieved global success.

Last year, Park Jin Young was also appointed co-chair of the Committee for Popular Culture Exchange under President Lee Jae Myung.
