Earlier that morning, Nguyen Thi Dieu Ly entered the semi-finals of the women's 55 kg sparring category with high determination. She faced Agung (Indonesia) and dominated the match, winning 7-1. This result officially secured Dieu Ly's place in the final, opening up the opportunity to compete for the prestigious gold medal.
In the final match, Dieu Ly faced Hafezan (Singapore) - a highly experienced opponent. The Vietnamese fighter entered the match confidently and quickly took a 1-0 lead, raising high hopes among fans.
However, Hafezan counter-attacked effectively, scoring three consecutive points to take a 3-1 lead. Not giving up, Dieu Ly fought hard, leveling the score at 3-3 and bringing the match into a tense final few minutes.
Nevertheless, the two decisive points went to Hafezan, helping the Singaporean fighter win the gold medal, while Dieu Ly finished with the silver medal. However, this is still a proud result after a very hard-fought match.

In the men's 55 kg category, Chu Van Duc also had a memorable day of competition. On the morning of December 12th, he secured a place in the final after defeating his opponent from Timor-Leste.
Continuing his solid performance, Chu Van Duc advanced to the final against Kaliana (Malaysia). Despite his best efforts to capitalize on every opportunity, he was unable to score points against his more effective opponent and lost 0-4, securing the silver medal for Vietnamese Karate.
The two silver medals recognize the tenacious fighting spirit of the martial artists and further motivate Vietnamese Karate to strive for higher achievements.
