With its flexible and lively organization, the ceremony became an emotionally rich educational activity, attracting enthusiastic participation from the children and contributing to fostering pride and love for their homeland.

Proud to join the team at this "historical landmark".

At the recent induction ceremony for third-grade students of Le Dinh Chinh Primary School's Youth Union (Hoa Cuong ward), held at Nai Nam village communal house, 134 students felt very honored and proud.

Ngo Vu Thien Huong, a student in class 3/6 at Le Dinh Chinh Primary School, expressed: “I am very moved and proud to be a member of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Team at the Nai Nam village communal house historical site. The solemn atmosphere here helps me understand more about the traditions of my homeland, and reminds me to strive to study and train myself to be worthy of being a team member.”

Ms. Huynh Thi Thu Nguyet, Principal of Le Dinh Chinh Primary School, said that in recent years, the school has organized activities to induct students into the Young Pioneers Organization at "historical and cultural sites" of the city, such as the September 2nd Victory Monument, Dien Hai Citadel, Nai Nam village communal house, etc. Practical experience shows that each time these activities are organized, they bring clear educational benefits, helping students gain a deeper understanding of local history and culture.

"This approach not only positively impacts students' awareness and emotions but also spreads to parents, contributing to fostering love for their homeland, national pride, and educating them in the spirit of 'drinking water, remembering the source,' knowing how to cherish and preserve the historical and cultural values of the nation," Ms. Nguyet shared.

Similarly, Nguyen Hien Primary School (Ban Thach ward) often organizes the Young Pioneers' induction ceremony for its students at historical and cultural sites.

Mr. Nguyen Tan Sy, the school's Head of the Youth Union, believes that integrating Youth Union rituals with field trips and practical learning activities has created meaningful experiences for students. This is an effective way to help students better understand the history and traditions of their homeland, contributing to the education of patriotic traditions, fostering gratitude and national pride; contributing to improving the quality of education, and at the same time arousing pride and a sense of self-improvement in each Youth Union member.

Experience the historical atmosphere.

Based on the positive results mentioned above, many other primary schools in the city have also proactively organized Young Pioneers' induction ceremonies combined with visits and experiences at historical sites such as: Bui Thi Xuan Primary School (Hoa Khanh ward) held its ceremony at the B1 Hong Phuoc Revolutionary Base; Kim Dong Primary School (Dien Ban ward) held its ceremony at the Dien Ban Museum; To Hien Thanh Primary School (Ngu Hanh Son ward) held its ceremony at the Hoang Sa Exhibition House… This approach contributes to enriching traditional education methods, helping students learn history through emotions and practical experiences instead of just through textbooks.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hang, Principal of Nguyen Trung Truc Primary School (Thanh Khe Ward), said that organizing the Young Pioneers' induction ceremony at historical sites stems from the school's desire to innovate traditional education methods, helping students not only to be inducted into the Young Pioneers' organization in a solemn ceremony but also to experience a sacred historical space, helping students understand the meaning and pride of wearing the scarf on their shoulders.

Compared to activities held on school grounds, these "historical sites" have a deeper educational significance, helping students to more clearly understand revolutionary traditions, patriotism, and national pride.

According to Ms. Hang, being admitted to the Young Pioneers at these "historical sites" has led to a significant transformation in students' learning and training attitudes. They are more confident, more conscious of upholding their title as Young Pioneers members, actively participate in class and inter-school activities, and know how to encourage each other to improve.

Besides inducting new members into the Young Pioneers at historical sites, the school plans to organize additional activities such as: the "I Love My Homeland's History" journey; themed activities and storytelling about young heroes; "Young Pioneers - Meaningful Deeds" activities such as caring for martyrs' cemeteries and visiting Vietnamese Heroic Mothers in the ward; and integrating life skills education, sharing spirit, and community responsibility. Through these activities, the school hopes to cultivate in students beautiful ideals, patriotism, and a sense of responsibility, contributing to the formation of good character for students from the primary school level...
