Opening of the 2025 Land Book Festival

On March 30 , 2025 , the Department of Culture , Sports and Tourism held the opening ceremony of the 2025 Ancestral Land Book Festival . This activity is part of a series of activities to serve the Hung Kings' Commemoration Anniversary and the Ancestral Land Culture and Tourism Week in the year of At Ty 2025; responding to Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day, World Book and Copyright Day; and at the same time creating a reading space for book lovers in Phu Tho province.

Attending the opening ceremony were comrade Vi Manh Hung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission ; leaders of the National Library of Vietnam; representatives of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, the Provincial Party Committee Office, the Provincial Military Command and a number of departments, branches, agencies and units of the province, along with a large number of cadres, civil servants, public employees , soldiers , youth union members , students and book lovers

With the theme "Books - Accompanying and honoring the cultural values of the Ancestral Land" , Land of Ancestors Book Fair 2025 held from March 28 to April 6, 2025 at Phu Tho Provincial Library. At the Book Fair there are more than 1,000 books and newspapers with a total of more than 4,000 copies and many practical programs and activities such as: Displaying documents and introducing books and newspapers; launching a book donation campaign to build a community bookshelf "Contribute a small book - Read thousands of good books"; exchanging and introducing good books every day with the theme "Proud of a strip of mountains and rivers"; drawing exchange "Friendly reading corner"; recreating the traditional cultural space of the North with old book and newspaper stalls, picture and photo stalls, calligraphy writing, displaying handicrafts, and Vietnamese folk games.

Speaking at the opening of the Book Fair , the leader of the Department of Culture , Sports and Tourism emphasized: Through the 2025 Land Book Fair Not only does it contribute to promoting reading culture, but it is also an opportunity to honor the cultural values and spiritual heritage of our ancestors; to propagate and mobilize people to understand the meaning and importance of reading for the development of knowledge and human spirit as well as to enhance the responsibility of all levels, sectors and organizations in creating, promoting and preserving books in the province.

Implementing the direction of the Prime Minister and the Provincial People's Committee on Vietnam Book Day and Reading Culture, in recent times, all levels and sectors in the province have promoted information and propaganda work on Vietnam Book Day ; organized activities such as seminars, introductions, displays, book giving and donation , book reading competitions, storytelling, writing impressions about books, drawing pictures based on books, building friendly libraries in schools. Launched the construction of family bookcases, clan bookcases, reading rooms in cultural houses, libraries at community learning centers ; actively circulated books and newspapers to rural, remote and isolated areas... Thanks to that, books and newspapers have gradually become close friends; reading culture has gradually gone into depth and spread widely .
