Attending the opening ceremony were leaders from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lao Cai province; leaders from the Provincial Center for Culture, Arts and Sports; representatives from the Party Committee and government of Lao Cai ward, along with a large number of officials, youth union members, students and people in the area.

The Spring Book Fair 2026 (Year of the Horse) was organized in a vibrant atmosphere of emulation to celebrate the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2026), to celebrate the success of the 14th National Congress of the Party, and to contribute to spreading the spirit of learning, creativity, and aspiration for development in the community.

In his opening remarks at the Spring Book Fair 2026, the leader of the Lao Cai Provincial Center for Culture, Arts, and Sports affirmed: Developing a reading culture has always been identified as an important task in the strategy for cultural and human development; contributing to building a learning society, raising the intellectual level of the people, fostering knowledge, and enriching the spiritual life of the people.
The Spring Book Fair 2026 (Year of the Horse) is not only an annual cultural event at the beginning of the year but also carries profound political and social significance, through the display and introduction of publications and propaganda materials about the 14th National Congress of the Party, the National Assembly elections, and the elections of People's Councils at all levels.

A highlight of the Spring Book Fair 2026 is the spirit of community connection and knowledge sharing through the program "Building a model of grassroots libraries to serve people in mountainous and border areas in the period 2025 - 2030".
As part of the program, KBS Vietnam Company, in collaboration with the Lao Cai Provincial Center for Culture, Arts, and Sports, donated library bookshelves to Chieng Ken commune, Y Ty commune, and Van Hoa Secondary School (Lao Cai ward).
The donated books are not only meaningful spring gifts but also "seeds of knowledge," contributing to expanding learning opportunities and nurturing dreams for students and people in mountainous and border regions.

In addition, the organizing committee donated many books to promote reading culture to the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Lao Cai ward; and launched a reading campaign among union members and young people, encouraging them to build a habit of regular reading in their studies and daily lives.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, delegates and the public visited the exhibition space showcasing publications celebrating the 14th National Congress of the Party and the elections for the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels; the spring reading space; and the digital knowledge space combined with a mobile library service, offering a variety of enriching experiential activities.
In addition, there was a discounted book service area provided by KBS Vietnam, attracting a large number of locals, students, and tourists.

The Spring Book Fair 2026, taking place from January 21st to February 8th, promises to be an attractive and enriching cultural destination for local people and tourists in the early days of the new spring, contributing to the strong spread of the reading movement and building a healthy cultural life in Lao Cai province.
