On the evening of February 10th (the 13th day of the first lunar month), the opening ceremony of the 2025 Tran Temple Festival took place at the national special historical site of the mausoleum and temple of the Tran Dynasty kings in Tien Duc commune (Hung Ha district). Attending the ceremony were Comrade Tran Quoc Vuong, former member of the Politburo and former Standing Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam; members of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam; and leaders from central ministries, departments, and agencies, as well as provinces and cities in the region.

On the Thai Binh province side, attendees included: Nguyen Khac Than, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Tien Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Manh Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee; leaders of the Provincial People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, and the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, along with a large number of local people and visitors from all over.

The Tran Temple Festival is a spiritual and cultural event held at the beginning of spring to commemorate and express gratitude for the merits of the kings, queens, princesses, and generals of the Tran dynasty in the ancient Long Hung region – now Hung Ha. This is the birthplace and founding place of the Tran dynasty, a place containing historical imprints closely associated with the Tran dynasty, where the Tran family rose to power, and also the resting place of the Tran ancestors. In 2014, the mausoleum and temple complex of the Tran kings was classified as a special national historical site; the Tran Temple Festival in Thai Binh was included in the list of national intangible cultural heritage. This year, the Tran Temple Festival continues to be organized on a provincial scale from the 13th to the 17th of the first lunar month.

Prior to the festival's opening ceremony, delegates attended a ceremonial visit to the central courtyard of the King's Temple.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the festival, Comrade Nguyen Manh Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, emphasized: Proud to be the birthplace, starting point, and prosperous home of the Tran Dynasty, the Party Committee, government, and people of Thai Binh province have focused on implementing many practical activities to continuously honor the special values ​​of the Tran Dynasty's cultural heritage in the Long Hung - Hung Ha region. This year's festival takes place in the context of the entire Party Committee, government, and people of Thai Binh province striving, uniting, and making the utmost effort to achieve socio-economic development goals, aiming for a growth rate of 10.5% or higher; implementing a streamlined, efficient, and effective apparatus; Thai Binh is confident and aspires to break through and rise with the new era of the nation. At the same time, 2025 also marks the 800th anniversary of the founding of the Tran Dynasty. The Tran Temple Festival continues to affirm and promote the cultural heritage of the Tran Dynasty in Thai Binh province, demonstrating the principle of "drinking water, remembering the source," commemorating and expressing gratitude for the great contributions of our ancestors in building and protecting the country. Through the festival, a joyful and enthusiastic atmosphere is created at the beginning of the new spring; encouraging and motivating cadres, Party members, and all strata of the people to strive in learning, training, and production, successfully fulfilling the tasks of socio-economic development. The Tran Temple Festival contributes to the dissemination and education of patriotism, love for the homeland, national pride and self-respect for generations, and the sense of responsibility of all citizens in participating in the preservation, promotion, and exploitation of traditional cultural heritage values ​​associated with attracting investment and socio-economic development; and promoting the potential and strengths of tourism development in the province. At the same time, it demonstrates the determination and aspiration to build Hung Ha district into a rapidly and sustainably developing area, becoming a growth hub in the Northwest of Thai Binh province, connecting with the Hanoi - Hai Phong - Quang Ninh growth triangle; and promoting cultural and traditional values ​​to develop spiritual and cultural tourism.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated Hung Ha district, all levels and sectors, the Tran Family Business Association of Vietnam, and the businesses, entrepreneurs, and event organizers for their support of the 2025 Tran Temple Festival. He expressed confidence that with the joint efforts of all levels, sectors, and the entire population, the 2025 Tran Temple Festival will be a great success, continuing to be a highlight in the cultural life of the people of Thai Binh.

Art performances to welcome the opening ceremony of the festival.

The opening ceremony of the festival featured a drum performance titled "Thai Binh - The Eternal Golden Age of the Tran Dynasty," with the participation of 175 drummers representing the 175 years of the Tran Dynasty's reign. With the theme "Radiant Thai Binh - Land of the Holy Mother - Land of the Saints - Sacred Traces of Buddhism - The Origin of the Tran Dynasty," the special artistic program, featuring 400 professional and amateur performers, along with famous singers, told the story of the wise rulers, sages, and holy mothers who founded the land. Highlights of the program included a performance of a song praising the merits of King Tran Nhan Tong; and a contemporary folk song about the Holy Mother Tran Thi Dung…

Following the special art program was the music and dance show "Thai Binh Rises with the New Era of the Nation," featuring songs about the country, Thai Binh, and spring, elaborately staged with sound and light effects, and the voices of famous artists such as People's Artist Tu Long, Meritorious Artist Thanh Thanh Hien, singer Bui Thuy, etc.
