Opening Ceremony of the Southern Vietnam Fruit Festival

Many types of specialty fruits were showcased at the Southern Vietnam Fruit Festival 2023.

The festival is an annual cultural and tourism event aimed at showcasing to visitors the unique, rich, and diverse varieties of fruits from all regions of the country. At the same time, it honors the achievements of farmers in the agricultural sector, contributes to preserving the unique art of fruit carving, and promotes the cultural identity of the Vietnamese nation.

The Southern Fruit Festival - Suoi Tien Farm Festival 2023 is being organized this year by Suoi Tien Cultural Tourism Joint Stock Company in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Department of Tourism, and the Union of Friendship Organizations of Ho Chi Minh City.

The program aims to expand the scale of the Southern Fruit Festival to the Southeast Asian region, promote tourism in Ho Chi Minh City in particular and Vietnam in general to international tourists, and create cooperative relationships for mutual development with countries around the world .

The festival includes main activities such as: a specialty fruit market, the 12th Southern Vietnam Safe and Delicious Fruit Contest, a fruit carving art contest, a giant fruit collection; and culinary activities featuring more than 20 dishes made from fruits and characteristic dishes from various regions across the country...

The exhibition, themed "Suoi Tien: 30 Years of Formation and Development," features a parade of "Hundred Fruits and Four Auspicious Deities," and other spectacular artistic performances.

The highlight of this year's festival is the launch of a collection of premium, unique, and rare fruits sourced from around the world, grown at Suoi Tien Farm. The farm utilizes an organic greenhouse cultivation system and a high-tech Israeli irrigation system, applying advanced Japanese technology to produce fresh, clean, and safe products according to VietGAP standards.

This year's Southern Vietnam Fruit Festival features the participation of the Vietnam Friendship Association with various countries: Vietnam-ASEAN, Vietnam-India, Vietnam-Indonesia, Vietnam-Cambodia... Along with special artistic programs showcasing the friendly exchanges between countries.

All of this will bring a multinational touch to the festival season, making it more impressive, novel, and unique, thereby enhancing people-to-people friendship and cooperation in foreign relations between Vietnam in general and Ho Chi Minh City in particular.

The Southern Fruit Festival - Suoi Tien Farm Festival 2023 will run until August 31st.
