Opening of the Southern Fruit Festival

Many specialty fruits are introduced at the 2023 Southern Fruit Festival.

The festival is an annual cultural and tourism event to introduce to visitors the unique, rich and diverse varieties of fruits from all regions of the country. At the same time, it honors the achievements of farmers in the agricultural sector, contributing to preserving the unique art of fruit sculpture and promoting the cultural identity of the Vietnamese people.

This year's Southern Fruit Festival - Suoi Tien Farm Festival 2023 is organized by Suoi Tien Cultural Tourism Joint Stock Company in coordination with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Department of Tourism and the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organizations.

The program aims to expand the scale of the Southern Fruit Festival to the Southeast Asian region, promote Ho Chi Minh City tourism in particular and Vietnam tourism in general to international visitors and create cooperative relationships for mutual development with countries around the world .

The festival includes main activities: Specialty fruit market, 12th Southern safe and delicious fruit contest, Fruit sculpture art contest, Giant fruit collection; culinary activities with more than 20 dishes made from fruit and typical dishes of regions across the country...

Exhibition with the theme "Suoi Tien 30 years of formation and development", parade "Bach qua tu quy than tien hoi" and special art programs.

The highlight of this year's Festival is the launch of a collection of high-class, unique, rare fruits originating from countries around the world grown at Suoi Tien Farm, applying the greenhouse growing system according to organic methods and high-tech irrigation systems from Israel; applying Japanese high-tech technology to create fresh, clean, safe products according to VietGap standards.

This year's Southern Fruit Festival has the participation of the Vietnam Friendship Association with the following countries: Vietnam-ASEAN, Vietnam-India, Vietnam-Indonesia, Vietnam-Cambodia... Along with special art programs demonstrating the friendly exchange between countries.

All will bring multinational colors to the festival season, making it more impressive, novel and unique, thereby enhancing the friendship and cooperation between the people of Vietnam in general and Ho Chi Minh City in particular.

Southern Fruit Festival - Suoi Tien Farm Festival 2023 takes place until August 31.
