Opening Ceremony of the 175th Bà Chúa Xứ Bàu Mướp Festival

On the morning of June 4th, the People's Committee of Thoi Son ward (An Giang province) and the Management Board of Ba Chua Xu Bau Muop Temple organized the opening ceremony of the 175th Ba Chua Xu Bau Muop Festival, 2026.

The 175th Bà Chúa Xứ Bàu Mướp Festival took place from June 4th to 6th.

The Management Board of the Bà Chúa Xứ Bàu Mướp Temple performs the drum-beating ritual to officially open the festival.

This year's festival will take place over three days, from June 4th to 6th (corresponding to the 19th to 21st of the 4th lunar month, the year of the Fire Horse). The program is rich in folk culture with traditional rituals such as: the ceremony of inviting the Goddess, the bathing ceremony of the Goddess, the welcoming ceremony of the Goddess, the ceremony of inviting the Child, the main sacrificial ceremony, etc. In addition, there will be recreational activities: men's volleyball, women's soft volleyball, lion dance, folk games, cultural performances, and a Pickleball competition.
