Activities at the Temple of Literature - National University will continue until April 21st, including: an exhibition of valuable books about the special national historical site of the Temple of Literature - National University; photos and books about Vietnam and its people in modern electronic versions and physical prints; a book fair with 60 participating units, displaying, introducing, and providing readers with over 40,000 valuable books; numerous seminars, book launches, author and work interactions; and a typical art program... In response to Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day in localities, the core force is: the Department of Information and Communications; The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, along with the library system, publishing houses, and publishing businesses in the area, will organize many rich, diverse, and practical activities to celebrate the third Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day in 2024, linked to political tasks and major holidays in 2024, which will be held in April 2024.

Speaking at the ceremony, Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia emphasized: The series of activities and events celebrating the third Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day, organized in Hanoi and throughout the country, practically contribute to promoting the beauty of traditional culture, encouraging and developing the reading movement in the community. To bring books closer to readers, to spread knowledge more widely, and to make culture an intrinsic strength, a resource and driving force for national development, as affirmed in the Party's 13th National Congress documents.

Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia proposed that Party committees, governments, ministries, and sectors at all levels should strengthen propaganda and education efforts to raise awareness within the political system and throughout society about the position, significance, and importance of books and reading culture. All levels should focus on investing in and supporting the establishment of reading promotion institutions and activities within schools, agencies, and units to cultivate reading habits among all segments of the population; encourage good models in reading, research, and applying knowledge from books to life; strengthen efforts to create works, books, and projects of high ideological, scientific, educational, and cultural value to serve the increasingly diverse and rich needs of readers; promote digital transformation in publishing; explore new publishing formats; expand exchanges and cooperation; and actively participate in international book-related activities.
