Attending the program, on the Indian side were Ms. Ajungla Jamir - Deputy Ambassador, Embassy of India in Hanoi and Ms. Monica Sharma - Director of Swami Vivekananda Cultural Center, Embassy of India in Hanoi. On the Lang Son province side, there were Mr. Duong Xuan Huyen, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of a number of departments, branches, organizations, and armed forces of the province.
It is known that the film week will take place from May 30 to June 2, 2025 at the Tokyo Cinema with famous Indian films including: Female Wrestler, English, Live Only Once and Roar of Freedom. Immediately after the opening program, delegates enjoyed the film "Female Wrestler", an inspirational sports drama based on the true story of a former Indian wrestler who trained his two daughters to become world-class wrestlers despite social pressures.
The film week is an activity within the framework of the International Yoga Festival and Indian Cultural Exchange in Lang Son in 2025. This activity aims to strengthen friendship, cooperation, cultural and artistic exchange, promote economic development, cultural connection, promote the image, land, people, strengths, and international cooperation needs of Vietnam in general and Lang Son province in particular with India; introduce the unique features of Lang Son and Indian cinema to a large audience in Lang Son province, thereby contributing to enriching the spiritual and cultural enjoyment of the people of all ethnic groups in Lang Son province.
At the end of the opening session, delegates visited a thematic exhibition on some typical achievements of Indian and Vietnamese cinema through the ages and took souvenir photos.
