Attending the program, on the Indian side were Ms. Ajungla Jamir - Deputy Ambassador, Embassy of India in Hanoi and Ms. Monica Sharma - Director of the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre, Embassy of India in Hanoi. On the Lang Son province side were Mr. Duong Xuan Huyen, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and leaders of several departments, agencies, organizations, and armed forces of the province.
The film week, taking place from May 30th to June 2nd, 2025 at the Tokyo Cinema, features popular Indian films including: "The Wrestler," "English in My Language," "Live Only Once," and "The Roar of Freedom." Immediately following the opening ceremony, delegates enjoyed "The Wrestler," an inspiring sports drama based on the true story of a former Indian wrestler who trained his two daughters to become world-class wrestlers despite societal pressures.
The Film Week is an activity within the framework of the International Yoga Festival and Indian Cultural Exchange in Lang Son in 2025. This activity aims to strengthen friendship, cooperative relations, cultural and artistic exchange, promote economic development, connect cultures, and promote the image, land, people, strengths, and international cooperation needs of Vietnam in general and Lang Son province in particular with India; to introduce the unique features of Lang Son and Indian cinema to a wide audience in Lang Son province, thereby contributing to enriching the cultural and spiritual life of the people of Lang Son province.
Following the opening ceremony, delegates toured a thematic exhibition showcasing some of the outstanding achievements of Indian and Vietnamese cinema throughout different periods and took commemorative photos.
