Specifically, this site was excavated from May 5 to June 26, 2025 on a total area of 50 m2 , including 2 pits with an area of 25 m2 /1 pit.
The authorities are responsible for preserving and maintaining artifacts collected during archaeological excavations to avoid damage or loss and to report plans to protect and promote their value.
After the end of the excavation, a management plan for the archaeological excavation area and a scientific report on the excavation work must be proposed.
This is the fourth time that the specialized agency has excavated the area after the first time in 2021, the second time in 2022 and the third time in 2024.

The Thac Hai archaeological site was discovered in early 2020. In 2023, the “Thac Hai Stone Drill Collection” was recognized as a National Treasure. This site has attracted great attention from archaeologists and historical researchers because it is the first time a factory site has been found.
In addition to the drills commonly found at previously discovered factory sites, there were also traces of glass foundries and glass artifacts.
