Discover the rose paradise of Sa Pa

On the way to the top of Fansipan mountain in Sa Pa town, visitors will be surprised to see thousands of rose trees, including ancient Sa Pa varieties and imported varieties, in all colors and sizes right at Fansipan cable car station.

With a temperate climate all year round, Sa Pa is home to many species of flowers. If you come to Sa Pa in the summer, you will see along the streets, every house planted with bougainvillea in all colors, each color is so brilliant that it covers the entire tree trunk. Not only five-color bougainvillea, Sa Pa also has many azalea gardens covering the entire hillside. But perhaps the most famous and most loved by tourists are still roses.

The rose paradise in Sa Pa is probably the garden at Fansipan Cable Car Station. If Fansipan used to attract tourists because of the desire to conquer the 3,143m high mountain, now, in addition to the highest peak in Indochina, there will be a hobby of exploring the garden of thousands of square meters with thousands of unique rose bushes. There are trees that produce flowers as big as a rice bowl, there are trees that produce small clusters of bright red flowers. There are trees that produce white, red, yellow flowers, and there are trees that produce unique dark purple flowers.

The sweet scent of roses in the cool air of the high mountains above 1,500m brings a feeling of relaxation to visitors.  

Many tourists are quite surprised and delighted when they get lost in the immense Fansipan rose garden. If you are not in a hurry to reach the top of Fansipan, you can spend 1 hour here to visit and take pictures because there are few places with so many beautiful and strange rose varieties.

The rose garden here is designed quite reasonably. There is an area specializing in growing foreign roses, with very large flowers and unique colors. There is also an area specializing in growing climbing roses with trellises high above the head with many small, pretty flower clusters. There is also an area growing domestic roses such as white roses and velvet roses that give off a sweet fragrance.

Sa Pa is famous for its old rose variety, which is grown by many gardeners, both to attract tourists and to propagate and send to other regions according to the needs of the people. However, the old rose variety is quite "difficult", perhaps only suitable for year-round cool land like Sa Pa to grow.

  Climbing roses are said to be easier to grow than other varieties.  

Sapa ancient roses have many varieties, such as climbing roses, which are grown by many gardeners to cover roofs and porches. If visitors come to Sapa in the spring, they will see climbing roses blooming all over the roofs, looking from afar like a carpet of bright red flowers. Climbing roses often have small flowers, blooming in clusters but with deep colors and very fragrant scent.

Each rose garden in Sa Pa will have its own rose varieties and its own design style to create its own beauty. About 10km from Sa Pa town, Mong Mo Rose Garden is located right on the road leading to O Quy Ho Pass, so it is quite convenient for tourists to visit. The 2-hectare garden impresses visitors right from the entrance, where the porch is covered with bright red climbing roses. Stepping through the gate is a series of Sa Pa old roses, from white roses to velvet roses... The entire 2-hectare garden is mainly planted with roses by the owner.

The owner of the rose garden is very interested in preserving and propagating old roses. There are about 400 rose bushes here, some of which are over 30 years old, and are loved and carefully cared for by the owner. The garden is also designed quite specially, with small paths interspersed with flower bushes and decorated with small natural rocks that are available on the hill. From the rose garden, visitors can look far away to admire the terraced fields and listen to the sound of the stream flowing between the hills.

Climbing rose variety has the advantage of blooming evenly from base to tip.

Sa Pa also has many other rose gardens, such as the nearly 5-hectare garden of the Hoang Lien Community Ecotourism Cooperative, which has over 200 decades-old rose trees. Or the Ancient Rose Garden in Sau Chua village, Ta Phin Rose Garden...

This is also a popular tourist attraction when coming to Sa Pa.

But perhaps the most famous and beautiful up to now is still the rose garden at Fansipan Cable Car Station. The temperate, cool climate all year round means that the roses in every garden have bright, vibrant colors. It would be a real pity for visitors if they have the opportunity to set foot in Sa Pa but have not explored these beautiful gardens./.
