Khanh Hoa elevates its development level.

Fifty years ago, on April 2, 1975, cadres, soldiers, and people of Khanh Hoa celebrated the liberation of Khanh Hoa with joy and emotion. This was a victory for the cause of national liberation, class liberation, and social liberation led by the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh, a glorious chapter in the history of our nation, of the Party Committee and people of Khanh Hoa on the path of nation-building and national defense.

On that day, amidst the great torrent of the Spring Offensive and Uprising of 1975, following the resounding victories of the Central Highlands Campaign and the Hue- Da Nang Campaign, seizing the historical opportunity, the Provincial Party Standing Committee convened to discuss measures to implement the Regional Party Committee's directive and prepare well for the coordinated liberation of Khanh Hoa province. Accordingly, the army and people of the province, together with the main army units, coordinated the attack and simultaneously rose up to liberate Khanh Hoa province on April 2, 1975. At the same time, the army and people of Khanh Hoa, together with forces from Military Region 5 and the Vietnam People's Navy, attacked and liberated the Truong Sa archipelago.

The liberation of Khanh Hoa is a glorious milestone in the golden history of the Party Committee and people of Khanh Hoa. The heroic and glorious victory of the army and people of Khanh Hoa contributed to the overall strength, together with the army and people of the whole country, to the historic great victory of Spring 1975, liberating the South, unifying the country, leading the whole country towards socialism, fulfilling the sacred aspirations of the entire nation and beloved President Ho Chi Minh.

Half a century has passed, and from a land deeply affected by war, Khanh Hoa has risen strongly. In particular, after nearly 40 years of implementing the Party's reform policies, the Party Committee, government, and people of Khanh Hoa have upheld their heroic traditions, unity, dynamism, and creativity, demonstrating the resilience and spirit of the land and people of Khanh Hoa, especially under the conditions where the province has received priority attention from the Central Government in terms of mechanisms, policies, and resources for development. Implementing Resolution No. 09, dated January 28, 2022, of the Politburo on building and developing Khanh Hoa province until 2030, with a vision to 2045; the policies and guidelines of the Party and State have gradually propelled Khanh Hoa to become one of the most dynamically developing localities in the South Central region and the whole country.

In recent years, adhering closely to the Party and State's guidelines and policies, and with the tremendous efforts of the Party Committee, government, and people, Khanh Hoa province has achieved many important and comprehensive achievements in all fields. In 2024, all 22 socio-economic targets of the province were met and exceeded the plan. In particular, the economic growth rate (GRDP) increased by double digits for the third consecutive year (10.16%), placing it among the top 10 localities with the highest growth rates nationwide; state budget revenue reached VND 20,443 billion, exceeding the plan by 22.5%... In 2025, the province aims for an economic growth rate of 10.5%, higher than the target set by the Government. Simultaneously, 50 breakthrough tasks will be implemented by agencies and units… This serves as a foundation for the province to continue boosting growth in 2025 and create a basis for continued growth in the 2026-2030 period.

Alongside this, the province is focusing on implementing strategic breakthroughs linked to a growth model, using the marine economy as the foundation for development; the green economy and circular economy as new growth drivers; synchronously implementing many important projects, especially transportation projects within the province, inter-provincial and inter-regional, as a prerequisite for promoting economic development; accelerating the completion of sub-areas and major projects for the Van Phong Economic Zone in Cam Lam district; and accelerating the implementation of many other key infrastructure investment projects. Administrative reform and the improvement of governance and public administration capacity at the provincial level have seen positive changes, creating a favorable environment to attract investment resources for development. The province is also promoting digital transformation and the application of information technology in socio-economic activities; strengthening key foreign relations activities with countries and international organizations…

The province has also focused on implementing a comprehensive set of solutions to realize the goal of becoming a centrally-governed city by 2030, including the implementation of planning, especially the Khanh Hoa Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, which has been approved by the Prime Minister, and sub-area plans to promote attracting investors, especially strategic investors, to the province. The province is focusing on breakthrough development in three key areas: the Van Phong Bay area, Nha Trang City, and the Cam Ranh Bay area.

In recent times, many national and international cultural and artistic activities have been organized, contributing to promoting the image of Khanh Hoa's land and people. Social welfare, protection and care of people's health continue to be ensured; political security, social order and safety are stable, and national defense and security are maintained... Poverty reduction efforts have yielded positive results, with Khanh Son and Khanh Vinh districts recognized by the Prime Minister as having escaped poverty by 2025; the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses has been implemented quickly and effectively.

Furthermore, the political system has undergone many innovations. Party building and the political system have seen many positive changes, becoming more systematic and synchronized across all aspects of work. Notably, there has been a focus on building a team of cadres at all levels with sufficient qualities, prestige, and capabilities to meet the increasingly demanding requirements of the new situation; and the development and implementation of a set of tools for measuring and evaluating the effectiveness of work (KPIs) for cadres, civil servants, and public employees within the province's political system. The restructuring and organization of the political system's apparatus, with the spirit of "lean, strong, efficient, effective, and efficient," has been carried out urgently and with high determination.

As a locality possessing numerous outstanding potentials, opportunities, and comparative advantages for rapid and sustainable development, especially in the service, tourism, marine economy, and cultural sectors, and serving as a growth pole of the country in the South Central region, under the glorious banner of the Party, and building upon the traditions and spirit of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Khanh Hoa province, the Party Committee, government, and people of the province continue to work together towards the goal of Khanh Hoa elevating its development, integrating into the era of national progress, becoming a centrally-governed city, and ensuring a high standard of living for its people, who are peaceful and happy. This is also a way to express gratitude for the sacrifices of previous generations who shed their blood so that we could have what we have today…
