The Tu Ben bridge connecting two hamlets in Kien Thanh commune was inaugurated.

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and the reunification of the country (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2025), on April 20, the People's Committee of Kien Thanh commune, Cho Moi district, held the inauguration ceremony of Tu Ben bridge, connecting two hamlets: Kien Quoi 1 and Phu Ha 2. Attending the ceremony were Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Chi, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thoai Son district; Ms. Tran Thi Kim Thoa, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Cho Moi district; and Mr. Tran Minh Dung, Secretary of the Party Committee of Kien Thanh commune.

Commendations were awarded to outstanding collectives and individuals who made significant contributions to the rural bridge construction movement in Kien Thanh commune.

Providing housing assistance to disadvantaged families and giving gifts to students.

After more than two months of construction, the Tu Ben Bridge was completed and put into use. It is a concrete structure, 3.8 meters wide and 26 meters long. During the construction process, organizations and individuals contributed 500 million VND. Of this amount, the late Mr. On Lam Chau and the "Homeland Love" Charity Group of Ho Chi Minh City donated 150 million VND, the Bridge of Compassion Group donated 150 million VND, the Hope Fund donated 120 million VND, and the Nhu Ngoc Charity Group donated 80 million VND.

The total cost of constructing the Tu Ben bridge was 400 million VND. The remaining funds were transferred to the commune's Fund for the Poor to support the construction of bridges, temporary houses, and dilapidated houses in accordance with the government 's policy.

On this occasion, the People's Committee of Kien Thanh commune presented two symbolic checks to support the construction of houses for disadvantaged households, each worth 60 million VND. At the same time, they donated 100 gift packages to students of Primary Schools A, B, and C in the area. Each gift package included instant noodles, milk, school supplies, and a mosquito net, with a total value of over 10 million VND, sponsored by the "Homeland Compassion" Charity Group of Ho Chi Minh City.

The People's Committee of Cho Moi District awarded commendations to 2 outstanding collectives and 3 outstanding individuals for their significant contributions to the rural bridge construction movement in Kien Thanh commune.
