On July 24th, the Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology, Vo Hoang Khai, met and worked with representatives from the Software Technology Center ( Can Tho University).

During the meeting, representatives from the Software Technology Center shared and introduced innovation management software, electronic ISO software, and several services supporting digital transformation activities.

Specifically, the Innovation Management Software (CUSC-IES) is a tool that supports the digitalization of the process of reviewing, scoring, and recognizing the effectiveness and impact of innovations in agencies and units in accordance with relevant regulations. In particular, the software integrates artificial intelligence (AI) to detect duplicate ideas, enhancing transparency and efficiency in the review process.

Electronic ISO software is a solution that supports the development, application, and maintenance of a quality management system according to the TCVN ISO 9001:2015 standard on an electronic platform. This software digitizes the entire quality management process according to relevant regulations. Simultaneously, it integrates and shares data with information systems for handling administrative procedures, managing operational documents, supporting ISO scoring, and monitoring online implementation according to current regulations.

At the meeting, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology Vo Hoang Khai assigned the relevant departments and units to act as focal points for exchanging and sharing information with the Software Technology Center (Can Tho University) to consult and propose solutions on digital transformation and appropriate technology applications when implementing digital transformation tasks in the province.

* The Provincial Red Cross Society handed over a sturdy house in Tan Phu commune.

On July 24th, the Provincial Red Cross Society, along with sponsors, handed over sturdy houses to two families in Tan Phu commune. Specifically, the two houses were handed over to the family of Mr. Be Van Heo (Tay ethnic group) and the family of Mr. Tran Van Phuc, both of whom are extremely disadvantaged households in the locality, with family members suffering from serious illnesses, lacking land for production, and without stable employment.

Each house received initial construction funding of 80 million VND (including 50 million VND sponsored by Vedan Vietnam Co., Ltd. and 30 million VND provided by the local government). In addition, during the completion of the houses, each family, clan, and local resident contributed further funds. As a result, each house, upon completion, is valued at nearly 100 million VND or more.

On this occasion, the Provincial Red Cross Society, sponsors, and local authorities presented the two families receiving new homes with gifts of household items and food.

On the morning of July 24th, the Internal Political Security Department of the Dong Nai Provincial Police, in coordination with the local authorities and the Hanoi - Dong Nai Eye Hospital, organized the 2025 National Day for Protecting National Security in Tan Phu commune.

During the program, the organizing committee presented 20 gifts to families receiving preferential treatment; at the same time, the medical team from Hanoi - Dong Nai Eye Hospital also examined and treated eye diseases and gave gifts to 200 cases including veterans, former youth volunteers, and disadvantaged people in the area. The organizing committee also conducted a survey to build a charity house for a person in extremely difficult circumstances.

According to the head of the Internal Political Security Department, the event took place in a joyful and united atmosphere, clearly demonstrating the strength of national unity in the cause of protecting national security.

* Two individuals were caught red-handed transporting 2,980 packs of smuggled cigarettes.

On July 23, the Bu Dop Border Guard Station, Dong Nai Provincial Border Guard Command, organized a patrol and ambush operation and caught two individuals red-handed transporting a large quantity of smuggled cigarettes from the border into the interior.

Accordingly, in the area of ​​Production Team No. 6 - Regiment 717 (located in Phuoc Tien hamlet, Hung Phuoc commune, Dong Nai province), about 300m from the border patrol road, a patrol team from the Bu Dop Border Guard Post discovered two individuals riding a motorbike with suspicious behavior. Upon inspection, authorities found that both were transporting a total of 2,980 packs of smuggled cigarettes. The two individuals were identified as Vo Hoang Tien, born in 2002, residing in Hamlet 4, Thien Hung commune, and Nguyen Xuan Hao, born in 2007, residing in Hamlet 8, Thanh Hoa commune, Dong Nai province.

At the time of arrest, neither suspect could produce any legal documents related to the goods in question. During initial questioning, the suspects confessed to purchasing the cigarettes from a Cambodian national with the intention of transporting them domestically for profit, and admitted to violating the law.

The Bu Dop Border Guard Station has drawn up a report and issued a decision to temporarily detain the person, vehicle, and evidence for further investigation and processing in accordance with the law.
