Bruno Fernandes has decided to continue his commitment to Manchester United.

The newspaper A Bola commented: "These days, it is extremely rare for top stars to reject multi-million dollar offers from Saudi Arabia. This decision is proof of his commitment to the team that Bruno Fernandes is captaining."

Meanwhile, veteran commentator Bruno Andrade stressed on television: "Bruno Fernandes is not the kind of person who would abandon his team in times of difficulty. He did that with Sporting, and he's doing it again with Man United."

Andrade recalled the incident years ago at Sporting Lisbon, when many key players chose to leave the team, but Fernandes remained. “That’s part of his personality. Loyalty, steadfastness, and a willingness to face challenges. Manchester United were short on money, without the Champions League, and the manager’s position was precarious – yet he stayed. That’s admirable,” he emphasized.

Fernandes' decision came after days of serious consideration of an offer from Al Hilal, an ambitious club in the Saudi Pro League. According to ESPN , the Middle Eastern team was willing to spend around £100 million in transfer fees and offer the Portuguese midfielder a salary of up to £700,000 per week. His agent, Miguel Pinho, even flew to Riyadh to negotiate.

Fernandes was one of the few bright spots in Manchester United's disappointing 2024/25 season.

However, on the morning of June 3rd, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Fernandes had rejected the offer. “Despite the crazy contract offer from Al Hilal, Bruno Fernandes wants to continue playing at the highest level in Europe. He has made his decision,” Romano shared on X.
