During the 2025-2026 academic year, iSchool Long Xuyen International School seriously and effectively implemented the 2018 general education program. The school has 257 students across all three levels. Students' academic and behavioral performance continues to be stable and shows many positive improvements.
iSchool Long Xuyen International School proactively implements a digital learning model through the Khan Academy Vietnam platform. This is a non-profit educational program operated by the Vietnam Foundation, part of the global Khan Academy network, providing a vast online learning resource library that is internationally standardized and completely free. A key feature of this system is that it allows learners to fully take control of their learning path, aiming for an equitable and progressive education.
Mr. Nguyen Quoc Khanh, Principal of iSchool Long Xuyen International School, said: “Integrating this technology platform into the main curriculum and supplementary teaching has created a small revolution in students' learning mindset. Students are no longer pressured by the general learning pace of the class but can proactively speed up or slow down according to their individual abilities. For difficult concepts, students can easily review lectures repeatedly, rewind to sections of theory they are unsure of, or try their hand at a rich system of practical exercises closely aligned with the 2018 general education curriculum.”
In the 2025-2026 school year, the entire school recorded 257 active and regularly operating learning accounts on the system, with 182 students maintaining a consistent study habit of more than 30 minutes per week. This diligence resulted in a massive accumulated total of 393,871 minutes of study time across the school, averaging 1,533 minutes per student throughout the school year dedicated to online learning.
In terms of actual professional quality, the system recorded 211 students achieving mastery in 36 different mathematical skills. In addition, 110 outstanding students reached mastery in 60 advanced skills. These quantitative indicators demonstrate a profound qualitative transformation in teaching and learning methods. The learning of numbers is no longer dry theory on paper but has become a self-driven passion for the students. With these results, Khan Academy Vietnam honors iSchool Long Xuyen International School as one of the exemplary KAV (Knowledge, Skills, and Attitudes) open schools in An Giang province for the 2025-2026 academic year.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tan, a teacher at iSchool Long Xuyen International School, believes that the title of "Outstanding Open School KAV" for the 2025-2026 school year recognizes the school's correct steps in its educational modernization strategy. The application of digital technology is not simply about changing teaching tools, but fundamentally about changing mindsets, fostering self-reliance, self-learning abilities, and logical thinking in students when faced with problems. "This success will be a solid springboard for the school to continue promoting comprehensive digital transformation, aiming to build a school where every student has the opportunity to develop fully," Mr. Tan said.
Beyond simply adhering to the standard curriculum, the digital learning model at the school opens up new horizons of knowledge. Thanks to highly interactive lessons linked to vivid real-world situations, students' critical thinking skills have significantly improved. Many students who previously feared math have seen a considerable improvement in their grades. “Leveraging the KAV model, the self-learning movement at iSchool Long Xuyen International School has spread widely. Students proactively explore topics such as internet safety, AI applications in education, and learning math in English. The close collaboration between the school, teachers, students, and parents creates a positive learning environment, helping the implementation of the KAV open school model achieve practical results,” shared Mr. Nguyen Quoc Khanh.
