Construction begins on the 5th Brigade/Special Forces Corps Project.

On the morning of June 4th, at Tan An village, Ninh Hai commune, the Special Forces Command - Ministry of National Defense held the groundbreaking ceremony for the 5th Brigade/Special Forces Command Project (Phase 1). Attending the ceremony were Major General Hoang Minh Son - Commander of the Special Forces Command; Major General Nguyen Quang Binh - Director of the Barracks Department, General Department of Logistics and Technology; Major General Hoang Trung Kien - Deputy Director of the Finance Department; Major General Tran Cong Truong - Deputy Director of the Military Medical Department, General Department of Logistics and Technology; Colonel Pham Minh Nhat - Deputy Director of the Fuel Department, General Department of Logistics and Technology. Representing Khanh Hoa province were Mr. Nguyen Thanh Ha - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and leaders from relevant departments, agencies, and localities.

The 5th Brigade/Special Forces project, with the Special Forces Command as the investor, has a total investment of over 1.599 billion VND from the State budget, belonging to group B, national defense and security projects. The project involves the construction of facilities serving the training, combat readiness, and living needs of the troops; the implementation period is from 2026 to 2028.

Speaking at the ceremony, Major General Hoang Minh Son emphasized the important significance of the project in building a specialized combat training center, contributing to enhancing combat readiness and meeting the mission requirements of the Special Forces in the new situation, while also ensuring living conditions for officers and soldiers.
