Spreading a reading culture from schools to the community.
From that message, a cultural space rich in knowledge and inspiration was opened, bringing together a large number of officials, teachers, students, and people in the area to participate. The ceremony was not only an annual event but also demonstrated the locality's determination to build and spread the habit of reading - an important foundation for sustainable development.

At the program, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoang Thi Kim Thanh commune affirmed that books have long been an invaluable treasure trove of knowledge, a silent teacher, and a companion for each person on their journey of learning and growth. In the context of today's digital transformation, reading is no longer limited to printed books but has expanded to e-books, digital libraries, audiobooks, and online platforms. However, the core issue remains building a habit of reading with direction, knowing how to select content, and applying knowledge to practice.
Accordingly, developing a reading culture should not only focus on encouraging reading, but also be linked to the application of technology, the effective exploitation of digital resources, and the preservation of the value of traditional books, creating harmony between "reading books" and "reading digitally".

As a locality with a tradition of valuing education, Dan Hoa commune has been gradually building a reading environment from families and schools to the community. Classroom bookshelves, school libraries, and extracurricular activities related to books are contributing to fostering reading habits among the younger generation.
At the school named after the renowned scholar Nguyen Duc Luong – a symbol of the studious spirit of the homeland – this year's launching ceremony was even more meaningful as it was linked to the Artistic Book Display and Arrangement Competition. The activity attracted 12 participating primary and secondary schools in the area, creating a vibrant and creative display space. Each book model not only showcased excellent books but also demonstrated the students' aesthetic thinking, teamwork skills, and creativity.
Through this competition, students have the opportunity to interact, learn, and hone their presentation skills, while also spreading their love of books to their friends and the community. This is also a vivid example of a creative and practical approach to bringing reading culture closer to school life.

Books shared – the door to knowledge opens.
A notable highlight of the program was the launch of a book donation campaign with the message: "Donate one book to read a thousand books." The appeal received a positive response from delegates, teachers, students, and the public, contributing to the replenishment of books in school libraries and community reading centers. The donated books not only possess intellectual value but also embody a spirit of sharing and social responsibility.
Representing all students in the commune, Nguyen Thao Nhi, a student from Nguyen Duc Luong Secondary School, expressed her appreciation for the role of books in learning and life. She affirmed that she and her classmates would maintain the habit of reading every day, share good books, preserve books, and actively participate in activities promoting reading.

Sharing further at the program, Giang Bao An, a 6th-grade student from Nguyen Duc Luong Secondary School, expressed: “Previously, I didn't read much, but through activities like today, I find reading very interesting. The creative book stacking models make me want to read more, especially books about history and life skills. I think if we spend a little time reading each day, we will learn many useful things.”
Immediately after the ceremony, delegates and students visited the art book exhibition booths featuring a variety of rich and creative themes. The space, filled with the colors of knowledge, created a true festival for book lovers.

It can be seen that the Launch Ceremony and Artistic Book Display and Arrangement Competition in response to the 5th Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day in 2026 in Dan Hoa commune is not just a cultural event, but also a concrete step in the journey of building a learning society, arousing the aspiration for knowledge and developing well-rounded individuals from the foundation of reading culture.
