Despite the chilly early winter weather in Hanoi, tens of thousands of spectators flocked to My Dinh Stadium to watch the two nights of the "Brother Says Hi" concert on December 7th and 9th. Over two months and four nights in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, the "Brother Says Hi" program is estimated to have attracted a total of 140,000 spectators, with a level of excitement comparable to the BlackPink concert in July 2023.

In fierce competition with "Brother Says Hi ," the reality TV show "Brother Overcomes a Thousand Obstacles," featuring male artists from diverse fields, has also attracted a record amount of attention from viewers, especially young audiences. Following the unexpectedly successful performance on October 19th in Ho Chi Minh City, the concert in Hanoi on December 14th is also immediately sold out.

Decoding the appeal of these two musical phenomena, media expert Nguyen Ngoc Long commented that, in addition to the significant influence of social media, the quality of the programs and the participation of famous artists are the factors that create the brand for both shows.

Previously, if young people wanted to see concerts by international stars, they had to spend a considerable amount of money flying to Thailand, Singapore, South Korea, Japan, etc. Now, with reasonable ticket prices, they can witness spectacular performances right in their homeland by talented and stylish Vietnamese singers and artists.

It can be said that the large-scale and serious investment in the two programs , "Brother Says Hi" and "Brother Overcomes a Thousand Obstacles," has contributed to elevating the level of entertainment event organization in Vietnam, fostering pride in "Made in Vietnam" programs with international quality.

The emergence of high-quality entertainment programs organized in Vietnam shows that the country's performing arts industry has reached a new level, truly attracting and strongly supporting audiences.

The success of "Brother Says Hi" and "Brother Overcomes a Thousand Obstacles" partly demonstrates the wide-open opportunities for the performing arts industry in Vietnam. After years of exploration, we now have a solid infrastructure for high-class music events. This includes a system of facilities, from sound and lighting to modern stages, sufficient to meet the needs of professional performances. Accommodation and transportation services are abundant, and security is professional and meticulous. Support facilities are also increasingly comprehensive and convenient.

At the conference held on December 6th to review and implement Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW, dated October 25, 2017, of the 12th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam on continuing to innovate and streamline the organizational structure of the political system for effective and efficient operation, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung emphasized that art units need to reach out to the market, innovate programs, and connect with audiences.

Citing the impressive success of the two programs "Brother Says Hi" and "Brother Overcomes a Thousand Obstacles ," Minister Nguyen Van Hung suggested that this is something that art organizations need to study and learn from.
