(Baoquangngai.vn) - The 2024-2025 school year marks the 9th year of the "School Soy Milk Program," continuing its journey of bringing plant-based nutrition to disadvantaged students.
On the morning of October 15th, the Vietnam Soy Milk Education Promotion Fund, Vinasoy Vietnam Soy Milk Company (Quang Ngai Sugar Joint Stock Company), in coordination with the Vietnam Red Cross Society, launched the "School Soy Milk Program" for the 2024-2025 school year.
Attending the program were the President of the Vietnam Red Cross Society, Bui Thi Hoa; the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Tran Hoang Tuan; and representatives from relevant departments, agencies, and units.

For the 2024-2025 school year, the "School Soy Milk Program" will continue to donate over 755,000 boxes of Fami soy milk, worth nearly 3.44 billion VND, to primary school students in Quang Ngai, Lao Cai, and Yen Bai provinces. In Quang Ngai province alone, the program will distribute nearly 265,000 boxes of Fami soy milk, worth over 1.2 billion VND, to 10 primary schools in Tra Bong and Son Tay districts.
From 2016 to the present, the "School Soy Milk Program" has donated nearly 12.6 million cartons of Fami soy milk to more than 886,000 students in 1,580 schools across 19 remote and disadvantaged areas. The total value of the support exceeds 45 billion VND. The program demonstrates the long-term commitment of the Vietnam Soy Milk Education Promotion Fund and Vinasoy Vietnam Soy Milk Company to supporting underprivileged students and helping them develop comprehensively in terms of physical and intellectual abilities.

With the message "Providing healthy nutrition, sowing the seeds of a green future," this year's program not only contributes to school health care but also inspires children to be aware of and responsible for protecting the environment through small actions, such as sorting and recycling milk cartons.
At the ceremony, Vinasoy Vietnam Soy Milk Company awarded 10 scholarships to underprivileged students with excellent academic achievements in Quang Ngai province; each scholarship is worth 2 million VND.

Speaking at the program, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Hoang Tuan emphasized, "The 'School Soy Milk' program is a humane initiative, demonstrating the solidarity of all levels, sectors, units, and businesses in social welfare work, sharing the financial burden on families and communities in localities; helping children fully enjoy their rights. This contributes to creating a foundation for their better development in the future and making practical contributions to society."
