These days, tourist areas and attractions are bustling with many newly revamped summer tourism products. Especially in anticipation of the long April 30th - May 1st holiday, many tourism establishments have renovated their spaces and prepared to welcome visitors.

Ms. Ban Thi Nga, manager of a tourism and service business in Ta Van commune, shared: "With the upcoming holiday, the business has planted more seasonal flowers and provided training and professional development for staff to better serve tourists."
Taking advantage of the peak season, many travel agencies have introduced numerous tours with attractive offers for crossing the Lao Cai International Border Gate. These tours last from 3 to 5 days, with prices ranging from over 3 to 12 million VND. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuong, Director of Ruong Bac Thang International Tourism and Trade Company, said: “We have intensified our preparations, from mobilizing a large number of tourist vehicles and coordinating tour guides to accelerating our communication campaign and providing 24/7 customer support. Not only do we ensure the quality of hotel and restaurant services in China, but our team is also on standby to assist tourists in completing immigration procedures at the Lao Cai International Border Gate as quickly and easily as possible.”
This summer's tourism season is expected to be vibrant and witness a strong resurgence in Lao Cai's tourism industry. To prepare for the peak season, the locality has launched a series of promotional activities and programs, while proactively improving infrastructure and services.

To ensure professionalism and quality of tourism destinations, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lao Cai province has issued document No. 1020/SVHTTDL-QLPTDL directing the vigorous management of tourism activities. Accordingly, the People's Committees of communes and wards and the Tourism Association are coordinating to strictly inspect and control the quality of services and implement public price listing, while thoroughly preventing the practice of soliciting or overcharging tourists. Businesses are proactively developing service plans, ensuring standards for food safety, fire prevention and control, and environmental hygiene to build a civilized and friendly image of Lao Cai tourism.

To kick off the 2026 summer tourism season, Lao Cai province is launching a series of unique cultural and sports events, focusing primarily on the holiday period from April 30th to May 3rd. The opening ceremony of the summer festival, themed "Sa Pa - Land of Love," will take place on April 29th. In the Sa Pa area, visitors will experience diverse cultural spaces through the "Sa Pa - Heritage in the Mist" Week, the Fansipan Flower Festival, and admire the vibrant flowers at the Ham Rong Eco-tourism Area. In addition, Bao Yen commune will contribute to the lively atmosphere with its Sports Festival and, for the first time, the "Pho Rang Battle Spirit" raft racing festival on the Chay River.

In particular, activities exploring local culture and experiencing terraced rice cultivation in Mu Cang Chai will last from the end of April to the end of May, creating a continuous and attractive experience for tourists visiting Lao Cai. Mr. Vu Dai Duong - Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial Tourism Association said: "The Association has also promoted and requested businesses in the area to fully prepare facilities, environmental landscapes, and services to meet the needs of tourists."
With thorough preparation, an increasingly diverse product range, and continuously improving service quality, the summer of 2026 is expected to mark a strong acceleration of tourism in Lao Cai, aiming to attract over 11 million tourists in 2026.
