The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has requested the People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities to step up work to ensure security and safety for tourists, in order to achieve the industry's growth targets as well as ensure security and order during major holidays, especially the upcoming September 2nd National Day.
Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ho An Phong has just signed an Official Dispatch to the People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities. In particular, the Ministry requires localities to disseminate and guide businesses and tourism service establishments to publicly list prices, sell at the right price and ensure the correct quantity, quality, and weight of goods and services for tourists; not to solicit, stalk, oppress, or cheat tourists.
The document also requires ensuring environmental hygiene in business areas; investing in building standard toilets to serve tourists; ensuring food hygiene and safety provided to tourists...; ensuring security and safety for tourists.
The Ministry also requested localities to invest in product development and improve the quality of tourism products and services...; strengthen direction and regular and unscheduled inspection of the implementation of legal regulations on tourism environment, promptly prevent and strictly handle violations according to the provisions of law.

In particular, it is necessary to urge and strongly direct organizations and individuals operating in the tourism sector to further promote their sense of responsibility and ensure absolute safety for tourists when participating in tourism products that may affect the lives and health of tourists in order to prevent risks and unfortunate incidents.
At the same time, continuously warn, remind and guide people and tourists about risks and safety measures with easy-to-remember and easy-to-implement content and messages through traditional methods as well as new communication methods, digital transformation applications, artificial intelligence (AI).../.
