On the morning of December 12th, the Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police organized a ceremony to launch a high-intensity campaign to ensure traffic order and safety, contributing to absolute security and safety during the New Year and Lunar New Year (Year of the Horse). This campaign will run until March 16th, 2026.
The Traffic Police Department stated that it will implement the motto "Wherever the people need traffic police, there are traffic police; wherever the people are in difficulty, the traffic police are there."
To ensure effective implementation of the peak period, the Traffic Police Department requires all Teams/Stations to organize on-call and standby forces, ensuring sufficient personnel to be ready to receive assignments and promptly resolve situations and incidents arising from orders and directives from superiors; proactively review vehicles, equipment, and other necessary conditions, and be ready to reinforce duties to ensure traffic order and safety.
In addition, the Traffic Police Department proactively monitors and accurately predicts the traffic order and safety situation to develop and effectively implement plans to reduce traffic accidents and limit congestion.
The Traffic Police Department stated that crimes such as gathering and driving recklessly, causing public disorder, illegal racing, and driving under the influence of alcohol will be dealt with severely.
