Following the directives of the Ministry of Science and Technology , the Science and Technology Communication Center, the permanent agency of the Award, officially launched the Journalism Award on Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation 2025. The submission period runs from June 25th to November 15th.

Over the years, the annual Science and Technology Journalism Award, organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology, has attracted the participation of numerous media outlets, journalists, and reporters nationwide, thereby making a positive contribution to raising social awareness of the role, significance, and impact of science and technology on the socio-economic development of the country.

The year 2025 marks a significant turning point for the Award. To strongly promote communication activities, contributing to widespread dissemination and realization of the Party's strategic goals as outlined in Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024, of the Politburo , on June 20, 2025, the Minister of Science and Technology issued Decision No. 1384/QD-BKHCN promulgating the regulations for awarding the Journalism Award on science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation, aiming to encourage and honor authors with outstanding journalistic works on these fields.

Accordingly, for the first time, the Award has expanded its scope to include foreign individuals and organizations whose journalistic works have been published in Vietnamese newspapers in accordance with legal regulations.

According to the regulations, submitted works must be of high quality in both content and form; reflect deeply, comprehensively, and with insightful discoveries on issues related to research, application of science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation; introduce effective initiatives, models, and outstanding achievements that have a positive impact on life; and simultaneously commend outstanding individuals and groups in this field.

In addition, the work must ensure accuracy, objectivity, and timeliness; be presented clearly and logically, and in a format appropriate to each type of journalism (print, online, radio, television, photojournalism). Works that have a positive impact on society, create a media effect, and promote public awareness of the role of science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation will be given priority in the evaluation.

Eligible entries are those published between January 1st and November 15th, 2025. Each journalistic category will have the following awards: 1 first prize, 1 second prize, 1 third prize, and 2 consolation prizes. Each author or group of authors may submit multiple entries, but will only be awarded a maximum of one top-tier prize.

The winning author(s) and groups of authors will receive a Trophy, a Certificate from the Organizing Committee, and a corresponding cash prize, as announced annually by the Standing Committee.

The award selection process consists of three rounds: preliminary selection, final selection, and the announcement and award ceremony. The timing of the award ceremony will be decided by the Organizing Committee, ensuring it aligns with the implementation schedule and current financial regulations.

Press agencies and authors can submit their works directly to the Award's Standing Committee via post or email, along with a registration form confirmed by the publishing press agency.
