In 2024, Con Co Island District aims to welcome approximately 10,000 tourists, generating around 15 billion VND in revenue from tourism and services, with accommodation facilities increasing by 10-15%. Therefore, the district is determined to continue improving the quality of its promotional activities, showcasing its image, potential, and advantages.

At the same time, we must intensify efforts to effectively mobilize resources for building a comprehensive infrastructure that meets the requirements of socio-economic development and ensures national defense and security, with priority given to tourism and service infrastructure...

It is known that over the years, thanks to the attention of the central government, the province, and various departments and agencies, the infrastructure and facilities serving the people and tourism in Con Co island district have been gradually invested in, built, renovated, and upgraded.

The variety of entertainment services has increased. As a result, the number of tourists visiting the island has risen every year. In 2023 alone, the number of tourists to the island reached 8,681, about 628 more than in 2022.

Total revenue from services and tourism is estimated at over 11 billion VND. The district currently has 6 accommodation establishments with 50 rooms and 144 beds, serving over 200 guests; and 6 food and beverage establishments capable of serving approximately 800 guests with signature island dishes such as oysters, various types of sea snails, squid, crab, sea cucumber, fish, sea grapes, wild bananas, and various types of fresh produce and vegetables grown on the island.

Regarding transportation services, passengers on the Cua Viet – Con Co Island route currently have two vessels: the ConCo Tourist with a capacity of 80 passengers and the Chinh Nghia with a capacity of 156 passengers. To improve the quality of services, households on the island have also invested in electric vehicles; renovated guesthouses to resemble homestays; and upgraded restaurants.
