On December 24th, in Dong Trieu City, the Provincial Project Management Board for Investment and Construction of Transportation Projects commenced construction of Provincial Road 327, connecting the provincial gate intersection to the main central road of Dong Trieu City.
This project, funded by the Quang Ninh provincial budget, aims to further develop the young city of Dong Trieu, creating a synchronous and modern transportation system, expanding development space to the north, meeting travel needs, and attracting tourists to the Tran Dynasty historical site and Yen Tu scenic area. At the same time, it will boost trade between localities, creating momentum for socio-economic development.
The project has a total length of over 11km, built to the standards of a Class III mountain road with a 9m wide roadbed, including 2 lanes for motorized vehicles and the remaining area for widening the road shoulders on both sides. The route includes two bridges over the Ho Lao stream and over the railway; and two at-grade interchanges connecting to the provincial gate interchange and the main central axis of Dong Trieu City. The project has a total investment of 580 billion VND from the provincial budget, of which over 224 billion VND is for compensation and land clearance. The completion time is scheduled for the end of 2025.
The project covers a total area of over 35 hectares, following the existing Provincial Road 327 and expanding to both sides. It is understood that Dong Trieu City has already conducted surveys and is currently carrying out land clearance to facilitate construction. Contractors have also mobilized equipment and personnel to the construction site, and are immediately commencing work on the handed-over land with high determination.
