Observations at supermarkets, traditional markets, and price-stabilized retail outlets throughout the city show that domestically produced goods account for a large proportion, with increasingly diverse designs, improved quality, and prices suitable for people's incomes. Notably, many agencies, units, and businesses prioritize choosing Vietnamese products as Tet gifts for their officials, employees, and workers, ensuring both quality and demonstrating their support for the campaign.
Vietnamese products dominate the market.
In Hai Van ward, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward, along with political and social organizations, coordinated with the City Red Cross Society to organize the "Compassionate Tet Market" program for the Spring of the Year of the Horse 2026. The market featured more than 10 stalls selling essential goods for Tet such as rice, instant noodles, milk, cakes, jams, and candies. The Organizing Committee distributed 300 shopping vouchers, each worth 700,000 VND, to households in particularly difficult circumstances in the area.
Ms. Phung Thi Tam, from Group 16, Hai Van Ward, shared: “My family is in difficult circumstances, and participating in the ‘Charitable Tet Market’ and being able to buy quality Vietnamese goods that are practical for daily life makes me very happy. These gifts bring more joy to my family during Tet.”
The Da Nang City Red Cross Society announced that it has distributed nearly 2,000 Tet (Lunar New Year) gift packages, with all products purchased directly from reputable domestic distributors, ensuring 100% Vietnamese goods. This contributes to strongly spreading the message "Vietnamese people use Vietnamese goods".
Mr. Le Tri Thanh, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City and Head of the Steering Committee for the "Vietnamese People Prioritize Using Vietnamese Goods" campaign in the city, said that to ensure the campaign goes deeper, the Steering Committee has requested relevant departments and units to focus on supporting businesses in production, business, and trade promotion, supporting VietGAP certification, quality management systems, and product traceability to enhance the competitiveness of Vietnamese goods.
Currently, the city has 552 OCOP products, 45 new stores and showrooms for OCOP products have been established, and 56 safe food supply chains have been formed with the participation of many production and business establishments.
The city has also issued QR codes to 4,588 food establishments, contributing to increased transparency and building consumer trust.
Monitoring and inspection of compliance with laws on pricing, control of origin and provenance of goods, food safety, and prevention of counterfeit and substandard goods will continue to be strengthened, especially during the peak period before, during, and after Tet.
Simultaneously, the city is reviewing, adjusting, and developing policies to support trade promotion, laying the groundwork for expanding support for businesses in promoting their products and connecting to domestic and international markets. Activities connecting supply and demand and developing e-commerce are being intensified, contributing to expanding distribution channels and improving production and business efficiency.

Implement solutions in a coordinated manner.
Ms. Vo Thi Thu Thuy, Director of GO! Supermarket in Da Nang, said that in response to the "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" campaign, the unit always arranges convenient display locations for Vietnamese products. At the same time, they strengthen connections with domestic businesses and production facilities to bring quality products at reasonable prices to consumers.
Recently, Vietnamese goods have gained increasing trust and preference among consumers due to their diverse designs, improved quality, and ability to meet consumer needs, especially during the Lunar New Year. To serve the increased shopping demand, the supermarket plans to increase its product output by 30-40% compared to previous years, focusing on essential items and high-quality Vietnamese products.
Ms. Luu Thi Thu, Director of Quy Thu Production and Trading Co., Ltd., shared that Quy Thu's baked coconut cake product has achieved OCOP 5-star certification, making it a trusted Vietnamese product chosen by consumers. Thanks to continuous quality improvement and diverse designs, the product is now prioritized for display and distribution in supermarket systems, contributing to the spread of the "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" campaign.
The Da Nang Department of Industry and Trade announced that it is implementing a comprehensive set of solutions to support cooperatives and businesses in overcoming difficulties in selling goods during the Tet holiday.
The focus is on supporting the entry of OCOP products, local specialties, and essential goods into supermarkets, shopping malls, and wholesale markets, thereby improving consumer access. Besides programs led by the Department of Industry and Trade, many communes and wards in the city also proactively organize fairs and trade promotion activities at the local level… This creates opportunities for production facilities and cooperatives to promote their products, connect with markets, and bring Vietnamese goods closer to consumers.
Prioritizing Vietnamese products during Tet (Lunar New Year) not only has economic significance but also reflects the sense of responsibility and national pride of each citizen. At the same time, it contributes to motivating domestic businesses to continuously innovate, improve product quality, and better meet the needs of society.
