On July 1, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam requested domestic airlines to strengthen state management and strictly control airfares.
Accordingly, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam requires airlines to actively work with aircraft leasing partners, supplement transport forces, replace aircraft that have been suspended due to engine recalls; at the same time, study to increase the supply capacity on domestic routes, tourism routes, especially flights to and from Can Tho International Airport.
Regarding ticket prices, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam requires airlines to review and adjust the way information is displayed, clarify the items that customers must pay in the displayed ticket price, and avoid confusing passengers when purchasing tickets. Airlines need to develop flexible fare ranges and continue to have preferential policies on ticket prices.
Information on promotional programs and ticket discount policies must be widely communicated to increase people's access to information. The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam also requires airlines to regularly check and monitor electronic ticketing systems and ticketing systems through agency channels, to detect and handle ticketing activities, declarations, and ticket price listings that violate the law and airline policies.
According to information from airline ticket agents, during the peak summer season, domestic air tickets are still abundant, and people can easily buy tickets on all routes. However, ticket prices are still quite high, especially on tourist routes. In mid-July, the Hanoi - Nha Trang route has the lowest price of 2 million VND/ticket, the highest is 3.8 million VND for economy class; the Hanoi - Phu Quoc route has the lowest price of nearly 1.8 million VND/ticket to more than 3 million VND/economy class ticket. The Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City route has the lowest price of 1.7 million VND/ticket.
