In its new development process, Thai Nguyen province has identified urbanization as creating livable cities where people can enjoy a clean environment, integrated infrastructure, convenient services, and a harmonious cultural space.

Along with the rest of the country, Thai Nguyen province has made many efforts in building urban systems according to the criteria of being green, clean, beautiful, and livable. The focus is on central wards such as Phan Dinh Phung, Quyet Thang, Pho Yen, Bac Kan … These will be urban areas developing according to a modern, smart model, capable of spreading and leading the overall development of the entire province.

The highlight in building a civilized urban area in Thai Nguyen is the emphasis on green spaces; quality of life; attention to technical infrastructure; and allocating suitable land for the construction of landscapes and ecological environments, creating a balance between socio- economic development and nature conservation.

To realize this, Thai Nguyen actively implements many specific programs and plans. The Thai Nguyen Provincial Planning until 2030, with a vision to 2050, has been approved with the orientation of making Thai Nguyen a modern industrial center, a center for research, education, and high technology in the northern midland and mountainous region and the Hanoi Capital region.

The province prioritizes investment in urban infrastructure, from transportation systems; water supply and drainage; street lighting; security cameras to modern standard household waste treatment. Infrastructure projects, including construction, repair, and upgrading, have fundamentally met the needs of the people in all aspects, demonstrating the determination of all levels of government, sectors, and the entire population in creating civilized, attractive, and livable cities.

The province has implemented a comprehensive and effective program for building civilized urban areas, all aimed at benefiting the people. This has had a direct impact on socio-economic life. People's thinking and awareness have changed, leading to active participation in patriotic emulation movements, contributing to the successful achievement of goals such as improving the quality of life, maintaining political security and social order, ensuring environmental hygiene, and enhancing urban aesthetics.

In creating green spaces, the province has identified digital transformation and the development of smart cities as inevitable trends for modern urban areas. In implementing digital transformation, all levels, sectors, and localities in the province have made concerted efforts, and training courses to enhance technology usage skills have been organized for officials and Party members.

In the digital transformation process, the province aims to improve the quality of state management and public services by promoting the application of technology.

Providing full-process online public services (level 4), utilizing secure electronic authentication solutions, gradually perfecting the digital government architecture, and synchronously deploying interconnected information systems have contributed to creating a transparent and favorable environment, helping citizens and businesses easily access and benefit from public services quickly and efficiently.

Smart monitoring solutions, digital maps, and field reporting applications are being implemented in urban management and ensuring security and order. Citizens can easily look up planning information, register for administrative procedures, and report issues related to environmental sanitation and urban order through digital platforms. These conveniences not only help the government manage more effectively but also shorten the distance between the government and the people, contributing to building a modern and transparent administration.

The development of smart cities also opens up new opportunities for the digital economy and attracts high-tech investment. In the context of the rapidly unfolding Fourth Industrial Revolution, Thai Nguyen is gradually asserting its role as an attractive destination for domestic and foreign investors, especially in the fields of technology, modern manufacturing, and high-quality services.

Thanks to the effective implementation of the Civilized Urban Development Program, in residential areas, people actively participate in donating land and labor to build cultural centers and sports fields, registering to participate in building culturally exemplary families, and helping each other to behave healthily on social media platforms.

The initial success in building a civilized urban area in Thai Nguyen province is largely due to the active participation of member units of the Fatherland Front such as: the Women's Union; the Youth Union; the Veterans Association; the Farmers Association…

Associations and organizations have played an active role in disseminating information and mobilizing members to register and participate in patriotic emulation movements with high quality, including the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas".

In early spring, millions of new trees are planted throughout the province, and flower-lined roads stretch from city streets to rural villages, adding vibrancy to the landscape.

The vibrant colors of a civilized urban environment inspire confidence, enthusiasm, and active participation in self-governing activities related to environmental protection, maintaining security and order, and building cultured families and neighborhoods. All of this becomes a positive norm, effectively maintained, and forms a solid foundation for a civilized, modern, friendly, and livable city.
