According to the Food Safety Department, recently in some mass media there was information about Kobayashi Pharmaceutical Company, Japan recalling a number of products that pose a risk of affecting consumers' health, in There are products being sold in the Vietnamese market.
Through reviewing the product declaration registration data, the Department has not yet issued the product declaration registration receipt/certification of declaration of compliance with food safety regulations for the products: “Beni-koji choleste-help”; “Naishi-help plus cholesterol”; “Natto-kinase sarasara-tsubu gold” and Kobayashi Naishi Help 30 of Kobayashi Pharmaceutical Company, Japan.
“For the health safety of users, consumers do not buy or use products with the above information.
In case of detecting these products circulating on the market, please notify the authorities for handling according to the provisions of law," the Department of Food Safety recommends.
Previously, according to information from Mainichi – Japanese daily newspaper, March 22, Kobayashi Pharmaceutical Company, Japan (headquartered in Osaka) has reported kidney disorders and other health damage in people who have consumed this product. Their functional products contain “beni-koji”.
According to the report, so far 13 people (from 40 to 70 years old) have had their health damaged, of which 6 people had to be hospitalized; 2 people had kidney damage and temporarily required hemodialysis; Five of the patients have been discharged from the hospital.
The company is voluntarily recalling products containing the ingredient beni-koji and urging consumers to stop using these dietary supplements.
