Disciplinary action taken against leaders of Ca Mau Department of Health.

Accordingly, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Sa was disciplined with a "reprimand" for numerous shortcomings and violations committed during his tenure as Deputy Director of the Department of Health in advising the Director of the Department on the procurement of medical supplies, chemicals, biological products, and equipment in 2020.

Mr. Tran Quang Khoa was disciplined with a "warning" for violations and shortcomings in advising and directing the work of preventing and controlling the COVID-19 epidemic.

Many leaders of the Ca Mau Department of Health have been disciplined.

Both of these cases resulted in disciplinary action by the Standing Committee of the People's Political Party Committee in March 2023.

Regarding the irregularities that occurred at the Ca Mau Department of Health, Mr. Nguyen Van Dung, Director of the Ca Mau Provincial Department of Health, was also disciplined with "dismissal" for violations and shortcomings in his role as the head of the unit, allowing deficiencies and violations to occur in the work of preventing and controlling the COVID-19 epidemic; lack of responsibility, lax leadership and management.

Previously, in July 2022, the Ca Mau Provincial Police initiated a criminal case, indicted and temporarily detained three officials from the provincial health sector for their involvement in corruption related to the purchase of Viet A test kits.
