On October 10th, the University of Banking Ho Chi Minh City organized a seminar on "Communication and Behavioral Culture among Students" with the participation of two speakers, Meritorious Teacher - Master Doan Phuc Linh Tam, Vice Principal of the Ho Chi Minh City Dance School, and Danny Vo, Vice President of the Association for Liaison with Overseas Vietnamese - Ho Chi Minh City, along with more than 1,000 students of the university.
In his opening remarks, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Duc Trung, Rector of the University of Banking Ho Chi Minh City, stated that while qualifications form the foundation, skills make the difference. When selecting personnel, organizations and businesses often choose individuals with strong skills, among which communication skills are crucial.
During the program, Meritorious Teacher and Master's Degree holder Doan Phuc Linh Tam shared her thoughts on personal image and demeanor. According to her, these are crucial aspects stemming from first impressions . "When someone has a good first impression of you, you'll have better opportunities, and vice versa. Therefore, creating a positive first impression is very important and requires careful cultivation and practice…" - Ms. Linh Tam stated.
Meanwhile, Danny Vo shared his thoughts on expressive language and body language in a positive light…
During the program, students also asked the speakers many questions about public speaking skills as well as many other related topics in communication and skills.
On the same day, the Ho Chi Minh City University of Banking announced the Miss and Mister HUB 2024 competition. Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Duc Trung stated that this competition aims to find candidates who possess intelligence, beauty, and professionalism. These candidates will represent not only the Ho Chi Minh City University of Banking but also the Vietnamese banking industry.
