Expectations for the North-South high-speed railway.
Truyền hình Thông tấn•29/09/2024In a country like Vietnam, stretching nearly 1,700 km from North to South, railways have always played a crucial role, not only in transporting passengers and goods but also as the lifeblood of the economy . Over the years, the railway system has undergone many improvements, but with outdated infrastructure, train speeds have not improved. At current speeds, traveling from Hanoi to Saigon takes 34 hours. However, with a high-speed railway line, the travel time would be shortened to just 5 hours and 30 minutes. Much hope has been placed on this North-South high-speed railway project.
