Lai Chau is stepping up digital transformation and training high-quality human resources.

On the afternoon of June 6th, Lai Chau province signed a cooperation agreement with the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology to promote research, application of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation; and to train and improve the quality of human resources for Lai Chau province in the period 2025-2030.

According to the agreement, the two sides will cooperate in implementing research topics, applications, and development projects in digital technologies , especially technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), big data, and blockchain.

One of the specific objectives is to organize at least one postgraduate training course for officials, civil servants, employees, and students in Lai Chau province in the fields of information technology, digital transformation, electronics and telecommunications, digital economy , multimedia communication, and other fields according to local needs.

In addition, the academy will support businesses in Lai Chau province in accessing the latest research results on AI to serve their production and business activities; and coordinate in improving the quality of human resources in the postal and telecommunications sectors to promote the sustainable development of the province in the future.

Speaking at the event, the leader of Lai Chau province affirmed that the signing ceremony demonstrates the province's political determination in implementing the tasks and solutions in Resolution 57-NQ/TW and Resolution 71/NQ-CP on promoting science and technology, innovation and digital transformation, contributing to accelerating socio-economic development.

Immediately after the signing ceremony, the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology will begin implementing the committed contents, while coordinating with local authorities to promote support for people and students in the area to access modern technology.

Also within the framework of the program, the academy donated 20 sets of STEM equipment to the education sector of Lai Chau province; at the same time, leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, the academy and departments introduced the "Lai Chau Province Digital Literacy Portal" - a platform aimed at popularizing digital knowledge to people in the area.
