Inflation in the Eurozone is stable.

According to revised data released on December 17, inflation in the Eurozone remained stable at 2.1% in November 2025, reinforcing expectations that the European Central Bank (ECB) will keep interest rates unchanged at its policy meeting this week.

Earlier, preliminary estimates from the European Union's statistical agency (Eurostat) showed that Eurozone headline inflation rose slightly to 2.2% year-on-year, temporarily moving away from the ECB's 2% target.

The adjustments reflect lower-than-expected price increases in November 2025 across some product groups, particularly unprocessed foods and industrial goods (excluding energy). Core inflation – excluding volatile factors such as energy and food prices – was confirmed at 2.4% year-on-year, unchanged from October 2025.

Updated figures show that inflation in the Eurozone remains well under control, reinforcing economists ' forecasts that the ECB is likely to keep interest rates unchanged at its policy meeting scheduled for December 18. Following a year-long series of interest rate cuts, the ECB has maintained its key deposit rate at 2% since July 2025.

Inflation in the Eurozone has cooled significantly from its record peak of 10.6% recorded in October 2022 – a time when energy prices soared due to the impact of the conflict in Ukraine.
