
Coming to the National Exhibition “President Ho Chi Minh - National quintessence, contemporary stature”, the public can see many valuable images and documents collected and exploited from archives, museums, relics, libraries, news agencies, and newspapers at home and abroad.
Through the images and documents displayed at the exhibition, the stature and value of his legacy in the history of the nation and the times were depicted, expressing respect and infinite gratitude to the Leader who devoted his entire life to the freedom, independence of the nation and the happiness of the people.
Also on this occasion, an exhibition of 135 documentary photos of Uncle Ho at the Presidential Palace (1954 - 1969) took place. The exhibition displays 135 unique documentary photos, painstakingly collected and systematized by the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace. These are authentic and vivid moments of Uncle Ho's activities in the Presidential Palace, where he lived and worked for the last 15 years (1954 - 1969), the longest stop in the 79 spring journey of President Ho Chi Minh's life.
The 135 photos are not only valuable documents but also a bridge to recall sacred and profound memories of Him; beautiful and dear memories, reminding everyone of a simple yet great life, always dedicating all love to compatriots and country, forever shining in the hearts of every Vietnamese person and international friends.
The Storytelling Artifact Room with the thematic exhibition “Uncle Ho with the South - The South with Uncle Ho” brings a lot of emotions to the viewers. The exhibition is a particularly meaningful activity, realistically and touchingly depicting the sacred and profound feelings between President Ho Chi Minh and his compatriots and soldiers in the South.
With 45 original documents and artifacts carefully selected from the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace, the National History Museum, the family of General Vo Nguyen Giap, the Nguyen Chi Thanh Museum and many other valuable sources, the exhibition brings viewers back to the heroic historical years, with President Ho Chi Minh's deep affection for the South as well as the loyal and steadfast affection of the South that misses him.
Along with the exhibition activities, on this occasion the book “135 stories about Uncle Ho” was also launched, the book gathers 135 authentic, simple but profound stories, recorded from the memories of cadres, soldiers and compatriots who lived, worked and studied close to President Ho Chi Minh during the period from 1954 to 1969.
Through each page of the book, the image of the beloved leader appears both realistic and vivid: "He is a Father, an Uncle, an Brother" with an extremely modest and simple lifestyle.
Each story and memory in the book not only faithfully recreates Uncle Ho's simple and noble life, but also contains invaluable lessons about revolutionary ethics, his lifestyle and great personality.
The Ho Chi Minh Heritage Experience Program for students at the Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace is also a very meaningful activity, aiming toeducate traditions, foster patriotism and arouse love and respect for Uncle Ho in the young generation. The program is highlighted by the activity "Listening to artifacts tell stories"; participating in exchanges, sharing feelings and visiting Uncle Ho's residence and workplace. Through that, students understand more about Uncle Ho's life, ideology and moral example.
