Ensuring security and safety for the Congress.
Regarding security and safety measures for the Congress, the People's Public Security forces have thoroughly understood and seriously implemented the task of protecting the "Great Event" with the highest sense of responsibility from early on, from afar, with multiple layers and levels, "resolutely preventing any passive or unexpected situations; preventing any mistakes from occurring."
Not only in Hanoi but nationwide, security and safety measures have been comprehensively and synchronously implemented across all aspects of work, starting from the prevention stage. The entire force proactively and regularly inspects and reviews, ensuring that all loopholes and shortcomings are closed; and proactively develops plans to handle potential situations.
Prior to the Congress, the police force deployed personnel, vehicles, and equipment in multiple layers and a tight security formation to strictly protect the Congress venue and the accommodation of delegates; implementing security control plans, regulating traffic flow, and ensuring fire safety...
Recognizing this as a key political task in 2026, the Guard Command (K01) of the Ministry of Public Security, a member of the Congress Security Subcommittee, proactively monitored and predicted the situation early and from afar, and coordinated with functional units to conduct a comprehensive survey of the accommodation and living arrangements of delegates, travel routes, and the congress venue.
As the leading unit in security work, the Department for Security of Special Events and International Guests (under K01) coordinated with relevant units to finalize the security control plan at the congress hall and all related areas and locations.
Lieutenant Colonel Tran The Viet (Head of the Department for the Protection of Special Events and International Guests) stated that the unit has practiced and rehearsed situational response plans and developed a plan for deploying forces and resources to approach and protect targets using a closed-loop, multi-layered model. In addition, the unit has selected and recruited outstanding officers and experienced personnel, organized training, and assigned specific tasks to each team and group. The force regularly reviews, updates, and refines operational plans and protection plans, and conducts training on handling operational situations to ensure security and safety in all circumstances.
