Staff of Ky Son Social Policy Bank Transaction Office accompanies people of Muong Xen commune to overcome flood consequences

In recent days, when sudden floods caused severe damage to many households in Muong Xen commune ( Nghe An ), the Ky Son Social Policy Bank Transaction Office clearly demonstrated its role, social responsibility and affection to the community through practical actions, promptly supporting people to overcome difficulties.

From July 22 to 24, 2025, the Ky Son Social Policy Bank Transaction Office organized a campaign to support flood recovery at the headquarters of the Muong Xen Commune People's Committee and severely damaged households. Every day, 13 staff members directly participated in cleaning up mud, repairing houses, and supporting people's daily life. The total number of households expected to receive support this time is about 10 households.

Right at the time of the flood, the unit deployed emergency support for 5 households in Muong Xen commune that were heavily affected with practical gifts of essential necessities to help people overcome the difficult time ahead. After the flood, the Trade Union of the Ky Son Social Policy Bank Transaction Office allocated 5 million VND from the mobilized funds to support families in difficult circumstances, thereby clearly demonstrating the spirit of "Mutual love and support", "The rich help the poor" of the staff and workers in the unit.

Three officers working at the Ky Son Social Policy Bank Transaction Office also had their houses flooded, but they have been supported and stabilized their accommodation to continue working with the unit to fulfill their community duties. The Director of the Transaction Office, Mr. Ngo Minh Tu, shared: “In the difficult terrain and frequent natural disasters like in the Ky Son highlands, people who are already struggling are even more vulnerable. We believe that accompanying the people is not only our responsibility, but also our sentiment and mission.”

The timely and practical activities of the Ky Son Social Policy Bank Transaction Office in recent times have left a good impression in the hearts of the local government and people. The unit is not only a "midwife" bringing capital to poor households, near-poor households, and other policy beneficiaries, but also a solid spiritual support for people whenever they encounter difficulties and misfortunes.

Sharing about the heavy damage after the flood, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ly (in Cau Tam village, Muong Xen commune) said: “Really, we thought there was no way out, every house was severely affected by the flood, so we didn’t know who to turn to. Luckily, the staff of the Ky Son Social Policy Bank transaction office showed up in time to help us overcome the immediate difficulties. Although we know there are still many hardships and difficulties, we still feel warm-hearted.”
