(GLO) - Through various flexible and practical methods, localities in Gia Lai province are bringing information about the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and deputies to the People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term closer to voters.

The propaganda work was implemented comprehensively, contributing to raising awareness, strengthening confidence, and fostering a sense of responsibility among voters before election day.

These days, the atmosphere of preparation for the election is widespread in many localities throughout the province. At polling station No. 7 (Trung Ai residential area, An Nhon Nam ward), the posting of candidate lists and brief biographies is being carried out by the Party branch, residential group, and Front Committee in accordance with regulations and on schedule. The information is displayed prominently and systematically in a convenient location near the polling station, making it easy for voters to follow and learn about the information before election day.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Nga, head of the Trung Ai residential group, said: "Besides posting the list of candidates as required, the residential group has proactively developed a plan to disseminate information, integrating election-related content into meetings and thematic activities. At the same time, the locality has leveraged the grassroots information system and established a Zalo group for voters to promptly and accurately convey relevant information, contributing to raising awareness and responsibility among the people."

According to the An Nhon Nam Ward Election Committee, the ward has 10 electoral units and 11 polling stations with 25,145 voters. Recognizing that posting the list of candidates is a crucial step in ensuring transparency, the ward has directed neighborhood groups to strictly implement this process and widely disseminate the information so that voters can proactively study it before election day. In addition, the ward has intensified propaganda through the local broadcasting system and integrated election-related content into meetings, thereby raising public awareness.

Mr. Trinh Xuan Long, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Election Committee of An Nhon Nam Ward, affirmed: “Propaganda work is identified as a continuous task throughout the election preparation process. The ward focuses on providing official information, promptly answering questions of concern to voters; and proactively monitoring public opinion to ensure unity in understanding and action. This contributes to strengthening the people's trust and creating a solid foundation for a safe, democratic, and lawful election day.”

In Ia Hiao commune, to ensure that election information reaches the people in a timely manner, the local authorities deployed 14 sets of billboards and posters at polling stations; at the same time, they intensified propaganda through the radio system and oral communication following the motto "going to every alley, knocking on every door". In particular, the commune also created AI-powered videos and posted more than 100 news articles related to the election on fanpages such as "Ia Hiao New Day", "Ia Hiao Voice"... thereby helping voters understand their rights and responsibilities.

Mr. Pham Van Phuong, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Election Committee of Ia Hiao commune, said: "With the active participation of community digital technology groups, most people now understand the important timelines of the election."

In addition, the locality also mobilized the people to participate in detecting, combating, and refuting harmful and toxic information on the internet; at the same time, strengthening the sharing of official information, creating trust and spreading influence in emulation movements to celebrate the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and representatives to the People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.

Similarly, election propaganda is being implemented synchronously in communes and wards throughout the province. Each locality flexibly chooses forms suitable to its actual conditions, ensuring that voters have full and accurate access to information about the election. As a result, people's awareness is increasingly raised, and they are enthusiastic and confident in the election.

Ms. Le Thi Hong Tham (a voter from Tien Hoa residential area, An Nhon Dong ward) shared: “Thanks to the local authorities' thorough dissemination of information, I understand the significance of the election and see it as an opportunity to choose representatives who are virtuous and talented enough to represent the aspirations of the people. I have checked the voter list, attended meetings to hear the action programs, and carefully researched each candidate. On election day, I will arrange my work to go vote early and according to regulations.”

According to the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, in recent times, localities throughout the province have seriously and synchronously implemented election propaganda work with many creative approaches suitable to each area, contributing to raising awareness and creating consensus among the people.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Phong Vu, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, emphasized: “Localities need to continue to innovate the content and diversify the methods of propaganda; harmoniously combine the press, media, visual promotion, mobile information, and oral propaganda; and at the same time effectively utilize digital platforms to ensure that election information reaches a wide audience, tailored to each locality and each stage. Along with that, it is necessary to proactively grasp public opinion, provide accurate and timely information, and combat and refute erroneous viewpoints so that election day truly becomes a festival for all citizens.”
