Quietly beautifying the streets.

We met Ms. Tuyet while she was with many workers from the park and green space enterprise planting flowers in the grounds of the Dong Phat 2 residential area's cultural center, Dong Ve ward (Thanh Hoa City). At 2 PM, under the scorching sun, with the soil still sticky after days of rain, the workers of the Park and Greenery Enterprise 2 had already begun planting flowers in the grounds. These workers in their blue uniforms quietly went about their work with the soil and plants, contributing to making every street corner, road, and park greener.

The Greenery and Park Enterprise No. 2 is currently tasked with planting and maintaining the embankment along the Ma River, Ham Rong Square, and the median strip along Nguyen Hoang Street... These locations are all within the central urban area of Thanh Hoa City, therefore, caring for the greenery and beautifying the median strip areas is always considered a crucial task for the enterprise's workers. Ms. Tuyet and the other workers at Greenery and Park Enterprise No. 2 are always closely connected to these familiar areas.

Understanding their assigned tasks, and under the guidance of technical staff, Ms. Tuyet and the members of her team diligently weed, replant flowers, prune leaves and branches, and fertilize to keep the lawns, flowerbeds, and ornamental plants in parks, gardens, and median strips along the roads always green, even, and beautiful. Specifically for the Nguyen Hoang Boulevard area, every day, in addition to beautifying the urban "green spaces," she and her workers also dedicate time from 5 to 7 am to cleaning. During holidays and major political events in the city, the green space workers become even busier with planting trees and decorating flowerbeds to beautify the streets.

Speaking about her work, Ms. Tuyet said that the job of a green space worker requires perseverance, meticulousness, skill, a love for trees and flowers, dedication, and responsibility. She has been involved in urban green space work for nearly 20 years. She herself didn't think she could stay in the profession for so long. Perhaps, due to the need to earn a living, she needed a stable job. More importantly, the work of contributing to beautifying the streets has motivated her to diligently and persistently care for each tree and flower on the streets, regardless of the weather.

For Ms. Tuyet, her time working with greenery has given her a wealth of knowledge, helping her understand which types of plants and flowers are suitable for which soil conditions. She knows the proper watering and fertilization methods for optimal growth, and which plants and flowers are susceptible to pests and diseases. The more she understands the profession, the more she loves the work she has chosen.

Speaking about her family, Ms. Tuyet happily shared: "Although our finances aren't very comfortable as both my husband and I are factory workers, I'm happy because our children are well-behaved and diligent in their studies. My eldest son has graduated from college and is working in Thanh Hoa City, while my daughter is studying at a university in Hanoi. We have to be very resourceful to afford their education, but for my husband and me, it's a source of joy and motivation for a brighter future."

With her enthusiasm, responsibility, and diligence in her work, Ms. Tuyet has been commended and rewarded by Thanh Hoa Urban Environment and Construction Joint Stock Company for many years as an outstanding worker and has been selected for the title "Excellent in work, good at home".
