On the afternoon of June 11th, the delegations of the Provincial People's Council continued to meet with voters in many localities ahead of the mid-year regular session of 2026. Each opinion and suggestion recorded from voters not only reflects the wishes from the grassroots but also contributes to perfecting policies serving local development.

At the conference, voters were informed about the expected content and agenda of the mid-year regular session of the 11th Provincial People's Council in 2026, as well as the results of previous sessions of the Provincial People's Council.

Voters in Phong Thanh commune raised many issues directly related to the lives and production of local people. Specifically, they requested that all levels and sectors pay attention to investing in and upgrading the rural transportation system; repairing and upgrading irrigation canals serving production; and finding solutions to overcome the shortage of water for aquaculture.

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Oai, from Go Muong hamlet, Phong Thanh commune, submitted a petition regarding water resources for aquaculture and issues related to health insurance.

Furthermore, voters also expressed concern about the increase in electricity prices, which affects daily life as well as production and business activities; they also requested that relevant agencies study appropriate solutions to reduce the cost burden on the people. Voters also raised concerns about pollution in the canals, requesting prompt action to address the issue and ensure a clean living environment and support production.

He also requested that relevant departments, agencies, and localities pay attention to and promptly address the issues raised by voters, especially those related to people's lives and production.

He also expressed his hope that voters would continue to play their supervisory role, actively contribute opinions, and work alongside the Party committee and government in implementing socio -economic development tasks and building a more prosperous locality.

Specifically, voters requested that relevant authorities study the possibility of investing in the construction of a crematorium in the area; and asked that authorities provide guidance and resolve procedures related to complaints and the issuance of land use right certificates for cases where errors occurred previously.

In a democratic and frank spirit, voters reflected on and proposed many issues directly related to the lives of local people. Of particular concern were the deteriorating state of rural transportation infrastructure; policies to support shrimp farmers who suffered losses; benefits for the elderly; and difficulties and shortcomings in the process of reorganizing hamlets and villages.

Voter Bui Van Son from Ngoc Duoc hamlet has requested that funds be allocated to repair the severely dilapidated Vam Leo suspension bridge.

In particular, many opinions suggested that the province should pay attention to and provide support policies for part-time officials in hamlets and villages affected by the reorganization, especially those who have been dedicated and contributed to the locality for many years.

Mr. Ky Trong Nghia, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hung Hoi commune, responded to the opinions and suggestions of the voters.

In his concluding remarks at the conference, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Lam Van Bi thanked the voters for their interest and trust in the activities of the Provincial People's Council, and fully acknowledged the opinions and suggestions of the voters of Hung Hoi commune.

Regarding the proposal to repair the Vam Leo suspension bridge, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Finance to review and advise the Provincial People's Committee on a suitable solution. Initially, repairs should be carried out to ensure traffic safety, while in the long term, consideration will be given to investing in the construction of a new bridge, as this is an important transportation route with a large volume of people and vehicles passing through.

Regarding provincial-managed roads DH.29 and DH.59, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee stated that these are large-scale investment projects. The province is balancing and allocating resources to gradually implement them, and hopes for the voters' understanding in the context of a huge need for infrastructure investment but limited resources.

Regarding social welfare, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that localities pay attention to promptly resolving entitlements for citizens, especially the elderly. As for the proposal related to the entitlements and policies for part-time officials in hamlets and villages, the province is currently researching and considering it based on current regulations and the actual situation of the locality to find a suitable solution.

Many opinions also suggested that the province should allocate more funds to invest in and repair the deteriorating transportation routes in the commune; that relevant agencies should regularly inspect and implement solutions to stabilize the prices of agricultural supplies to reduce production costs for farmers; and that relevant agencies should investigate and clarify the situation of high electricity bills in recent months, the cause of which remains unclear.

Voters in Vinh My commune raised concerns and made suggestions regarding transportation infrastructure and other social issues.

Furthermore, the environmental pollution situation at the centralized landfill in Hamlet 14 continues to be a concern for voters, who have requested that effective solutions be implemented soon to ensure a clean living environment for residents in the area.

At the end of the meeting, representatives from relevant agencies and commune authorities received and explained some issues within their jurisdiction, while also noting the voters' opinions for consideration and handling according to regulations. For issues beyond the local authority's jurisdiction, the Provincial People's Council delegation recorded and compiled them to forward to the relevant provincial agencies for consideration and resolution in accordance with the law.
