Quynh Doi Village has been recognized as a tourist destination.

On September 24th, the People's Committee of Nghe An province issued a decision recognizing Quynh Doi Village in Quynh Doi commune, Quynh Luu district, as a tourist destination .

Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee requests the People's Committee of Quynh Luu District to take the lead and coordinate with relevant agencies, organizations, and individuals to manage the Quynh Doi Village tourist site in order to protect, preserve, and develop tourism resources.

Simultaneously, it creates favorable and safe conditions for tourists to visit; ensures social order and safety, protects the environment, and promotes the participation of local communities in tourism activities; and facilitates traffic flow for vehicles transporting tourists.

In addition, regulations and rules for managing and exploiting the Quynh Doi Village tourist site should be issued in accordance with the Tourism Law and related documents.

Develop explanatory content and promotional materials to highlight the value of the tourist destination, while maintaining the established and approved criteria.

The Department of Tourism of Nghe An province shall guide, inspect, urge, and supervise the People's Committee of Quynh Luu district in implementing the contents of the above decision and performing its state management function regarding tourism for the Quynh Doi Village tourist site, ensuring strict compliance with the law.

Previously, in early April 2024, in a document sent to the People's Committee of Nghe An province requesting opinions on adjusting the names of 8 commune-level administrative units after the merger, Quynh Luu district proposed combining the new names of the communes, including Quynh Doi and Quynh Hau communes into the new name Doi Hau. Many residents disagreed with this name, as they wanted to retain the name Quynh Doi.

In early June, the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee decided that the merger of Quynh Doi and Quynh Hau communes would not take place during the 2023-2025 period. The merger of these two communes will be considered during the 2026-2030 period.

Quynh Doi village is a famous place in Nghe An province with a tradition of academic achievement. From 1444 to 1725, Quynh Doi had 707 people who passed the imperial examinations, ranging from the highest level to the third, second, and doctoral degrees.

Among them are many famous figures such as Ho Si Duong, Ho Phi Tich, Pham Dinh Toai..., especially "the Queen of Nom poetry" Ho Xuan Huong. This area has 8 national-level historical and cultural relics and 3 provincial-level relics.
