Bac Ninh has exceeded its forest protection and development plan.
The Department of Agriculture and Environment of Bac Ninh province has just issued Official Letter No. 784/SNNMT-KL requesting departments, agencies, and localities to implement comprehensive solutions to complete and exceed the targets of the forest protection and development plan for 2026. In 2025, the entire province planted nearly 8 million scattered trees, achieving 124.5% of the plan; and cared for more than 26,700 hectares of forest.
Based on that, the province continues to promote the dissemination of forestry laws, mobilize people to plant 2.14 million scattered trees, strengthen forest protection, forest fire prevention and control, and apply digital technology and science and technology to develop forests sustainably and effectively in the long term.
Allocate 2 billion VND for Tet gifts and presents to families entitled to preferential policies.
To ensure that all citizens can enjoy the Lunar New Year, the Standing Committee of the Cao Bang Provincial Fatherland Front Committee has allocated 2 billion VND from the "For the Poor" Fund to distribute 4,000 Tet gifts, each worth 500,000 VND, to policy beneficiary families, poor households, and households with difficult circumstances in the province.
Specifically, provincial leaders directly visited, extended New Year greetings, and distributed 2,850 gifts in various communes, with a total cost of over 1.4 billion VND. Chi Ma Border Gate Customs increases revenue.
In 2026, the Chi Ma Border Gate Customs (Lang Son province) was assigned a revenue target of 940 billion VND from import and export activities, an increase of 335 billion VND compared to 2025. From the beginning of the year, the unit has implemented many comprehensive solutions, proactively reviewing revenue sources, evaluating the import and export activities of businesses, and focusing on attracting goods with high tax rates.
The Chi Ma Border Gate Customs Department has intensified dialogue, meetings, and efforts to encourage businesses to open customs declarations at the border gate, while also strengthening coordination with the Chinese side to shorten customs clearance time. As a result, in the first nearly one month of 2026, revenue reached nearly 120 billion VND, a significant increase compared to the same period last year.

The Department of Health of Tuyen Quang province recently inspected the receipt and distribution of relief rice from the national reserve to support disadvantaged households during the Lunar New Year in Hung Loi, Trung Son, and Tan Long communes. According to the decision of the Provincial People's Committee, Hung Loi commune was allocated 7,125 kg of rice, Trung Son commune 6,075 kg, and Tan Long commune 4,590 kg. The distribution was carried out correctly, targeting the right beneficiaries and adhering to the quota of 15 kg/person/month, in a transparent and open manner. Local authorities closely coordinated in organizing and supervising the distribution, ensuring that the relief rice reached the people before Tet, contributing to helping disadvantaged households celebrate the New Year with peace of mind and warmth.
