Lao Cai: Revenue from taxes and fees reached 39.4% of the legally mandated budget.

As of April 15th, domestic revenue collection in Lao Cai province reached nearly 5,145 billion VND, equivalent to 24.4% of the central government's projected target and 32.8% of the local government's projected target. The revenue collection progress is basically on track with the set plan.

Citizens go to the tax office to declare and pay taxes as required.

In terms of revenue structure, revenue from taxes, fees, and charges reached over 3,694 billion VND, equivalent to 35.6% of the provincial People's Council's projected target and 39.4% of the legally mandated target, continuing to play a leading role in the total local budget revenue.

Production and business activities in the province contribute to increasing local budget revenue.

Some revenue targets were met quite well, such as: the central state-owned enterprise sector achieved 49.5% of the local budget; local state-owned enterprises achieved 47%; and the non-state sector achieved 43.8%.

Revenue from taxes and fees continues to be the main source of income in the budget structure of Lao Cai province.

Meanwhile, some revenue streams fell short of projections, such as the foreign-invested sector at 32.1% and personal income tax at 34.3%.

According to assessments, the progress of budget revenue collection in Lao Cai province up to mid-April is basically in line with the set roadmap. In the coming time, the locality will continue to implement comprehensive solutions for revenue management, combating revenue loss, effectively exploiting revenue sources, and striving to complete the annual budget target.
