The whole province currently has more than 50 enterprises (enterprises) producing and processing wood, operating mainly in Bien Hoa City, Vinh Cuu District and Trang Bom District. Compared with other industries, the wood industry was most affected by the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, had to reduce production and cut labor. At the briefing, trade unions informed about the difficult situation of their unit's orders, made efforts to take care of material life and created spiritual activities to motivate employees. However, this effort is only at a very low level compared to the needs of employees. The delegates suggested that, in addition to supporting employees, it is necessary to have policies to help businesses overcome this difficult period, such as tax reduction, preferential interest rate loans, etc.
The trade unions added that, currently, wood production enterprises are holding off orders until the end of the third quarter, the beginning of the fourth quarter. It is expected that the situation in the last two months of the year will be even more difficult. Some businesses may give workers an early Lunar New Year break. Therefore, the trade unions suggested that trade unions at all levels and functional agencies have plans to take care of and support employees more during Tet 3.
