Opening Ceremony of Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2024

In his opening remarks, Mr. Tran Song Tung, Standing Committee Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee, stated: "This is a unique, annual tourism event of the province. It is also an important tourism event that contributes to honoring the heritage, natural beauty, culture, and unique tourism identity of the Tam Coc - Bich Dong scenic area to domestic and international friends and tourists. The Tam Coc rice fields were once selected by the travel website Business Insider as one of the 5 most beautiful rice fields in Vietnam. Besides its aesthetic beauty and geological and geomorphological value, Tam Coc also contains many traces of human history dating back tens of thousands of years, laying the groundwork for the formation of the Hoa Lu capital in the 10th century, unifying the nation and reviving Vietnamese culture."

Mr. Tran Song Tung, Vice Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2024.

The 2024 Tourism Week is one of many activities celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex being recognized by the United Nations Educational , Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage Site (2014-2024). At the same time, it is also an opportunity to strengthen the promotion and introduction of Ninh Binh's tourism products and services to domestic and international tourists.

This event features many unique and impressive cultural and tourism activities, each with its own distinctive characteristics. These include a spectacular art program at the opening ceremony, viewing artistic rice fields, experiencing rice cultivation, showcasing and displaying traditional handicrafts and OCOP (One Commune One Product) products of the province, a Tam Coc Golden Season photography tour, and a program to survey and introduce Ninh Binh's tourism products. All of these create a vibrant cultural space, promising to leave a positive impression on both domestic and international tourists.

To further develop Ninh Binh tourism, the Provincial People's Committee hopes to continue receiving more attention and assistance from central ministries and agencies, neighboring provinces, the unity, cooperation, and creativity of the local community, and the collaboration between travel agencies and tourism businesses... to maximize the potential and strengths of Ninh Binh tourism, attract more tourists, become an internationally renowned destination, and one of the most attractive tourist destinations in Vietnam.

Ninh Binh Tourism Week will take place from June 1st to June 8th, 2024.
