Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2024: Tam Coc dyed yellow

Taking place from June 1-8 at Tam Coc - Bich Dong, Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2024 is expected to welcome approximately 300,000 visitors, a 75% increase compared to the same period in 2023.

Speaking at the opening ceremony on the evening of June 1st, Mr. Tran Song Tung, Vice Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee and Head of the Organizing Committee for Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2024, said that this is an important annual tourism event, part of a series of activities commemorating the 10th anniversary of the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex being recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage Site.

Tam Coc is one of the places that embodies the rich history, culture, and soul of Ninh Binh's people. The shimmering golden hues and fragrant aroma of ripening rice fields, like a vibrant silken carpet winding along the poetic Ngo Dong River, combined with the myriad shapes of the rocky mountains and the lush, vibrant vegetation, create a captivating landscape.

The artistic rice field in Tam Coc covers an area of ​​nearly 10,000 square meters, featuring a prominent image of a boy tending buffalo and playing a flute, inspired by the folk painting "Shepherd Playing the Flute". This painting expresses the people's wish for favorable weather, fertile land, and harmonious human relations, resulting in a bountiful harvest.

In addition, Tam Coc also contains many historical traces of humankind dating back tens of thousands of years, laying the groundwork for the formation of Hoa Lu capital in the 10th century.
